Our stay at Bintana sa Paraiso Binunsaran in Camiguin was unfortunately disappointing, mainly because of how poorly certain issues were handled by management and front desk staff. First, the road leading to the property from the main road is extremely narrow, something that was never mentioned anywhere in the listing or in any communication from the hotel. We traveled in a van after a very long drive from the south of Mindanao, and getting to the property was stressful and difficult. Whenever another vehicle or even pedestrians came from the opposite direction, there was practically no space to move aside, leaving one party to back up along the narrow road. This is something guests, especially families or groups traveling in larger vehicles, should absolutely be informed about beforehand. The bigger issue, however, was the mix-up with our family room booking. The booking description clearly indicated that the room included a pool, but when we arrived, we were assigned a family room without one. When I raised the concern, one of the front desk staff was dismissive and insisted that I had booked the room without a pool. Even after I showed the exact description from Booking.com, the staff member simply reread the description back to me in a condescending way, as if I was the one misunderstanding the situation. After traveling for hours and looking forward to finally relaxing, it was incredibly frustrating to deal with this kind of issue upon arrival. We were eventually transferred to a family room with a pool after they explained that the correct room had already been reserved for another guest the following day. However, when those guests arrived and were assigned the room above us without a pool, they kept giving us uncomfortable looks, clearly upset about the situation. I don’t know what the staff told them, but it genuinely felt like instead of properly owning up to the mistake, the hotel allowed the situation to become awkward between guests.

The staff is lovely and always taking care of you. The premises are beautiful and stunning.

I booked this place for my last few days in Camiguin, deciding it'd be the best place to relax after exploring the island. It's on a secluded location surrounded by nature. I love the jungle vibe! Wifi was the fastest I've experienced in the area. Amenities were unique and aesthetic. We had all our meals in the in-house restaurant which were quite affordable unlike other touristy joints. Food quality was superb and service was quick too. The staff was amazing and were all lovely people! They were incredibly pleasant to interact with and genuinely cared about our well-being. Our stay wouldn't have been so fun if it weren't for the staff. View from our balcony was stunning. The room was neat and decorated nicely. Bathroom had strong water pressure. It would be nice to have more cabinets in the room to keep clothes in and some shelves in the bathroom for toiletries.

I would've loved to give a 10/10 rating but there are just some things that are hard to ignore. I really wanted a peaceful getaway but there was just so much noise... like a literal metal grinder that started around late morning because of construction work. Kitchen staff chatting so loudly at 6AM which we can hear at the back of our villa. Our first night was uncomfortably warm due to a power outage that lasted until morning. Even though the evening breeze was chilly, we couldn't really leave the doors open due to insects coming in, so guests are fully reliant on AC or fan for cooling. The rest of our stay had no power disruptions. Neighbours seem to be burning trash or making a bonfire that made the air smell like smoke and even made my eyes burn a little. I hope they are able to improve since I really want to go back in the future.

Everything! The rooms were stunning, location was so peaceful and scenic and the restaurant was great. Hard to fault this place.

Hot water was a bit hit and miss but it’s so hot outside it didn’t really matter. You’d definitely need a motorbike to stay here as nothing is in walking distance
