Burgmannenhaus

We loved being right in the old town. There is no a/con so was a bit warm, also no fans. I also imagine it could be very noisy in the busy times, when you need the window open for any breeze.

Das Frühstück war gut. Reichhaltig. Wir konnten unsere E-Bikes in der Garage an einer Wallbox aufladen. Die Wirtin hat viel Humor und ist sehr hilfsbereit.

Schönes, altes Haus, ruhig gelegen und trotzdem zentral in der wunderschönen Altstadt von Steinau. Zimmer gemütlich mit Fachwerk, sehr sauber, bequeme Betten. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter.

One of those absolutely special and unique stays. An overnight stay on the Fairytale Route in a 16th century building. The lovely breakfast including home made ham, salami, preserves and other goodies was sensational and another unique experience. Free parking right out the front and a lovely morning spent wandering this tiny town was like being transported back 500 years. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

I was warned about hitting my head on the 16th century doors but I still managed to do it. Of course, that's my fault. :)

Owner was extremely kind and helpful
