Oceana B&B

We stayed for 2 nights with Michael and Di. They are warm welcoming hosts that really want to make your stay special. While the room is small, it has plenty of high quality items to make your stay comfortable. The bathroom is excellent and of a good size. The breakfast is a highlight that Michael serves with pride each morning. The location is a little out of Hobart but benefits from magnificent views over the Derwent River.

Thank you Michael and Di, we had great experience at Oceana B&B, breakfast was a delight everyday! If anyone looking for ocean view and good location, definitely give a try. I loved the self heated laundry rack, keep my clothes dry in the rainy days!!!

Our stay at Oceana B&B was for 7 Nights.Our hosts Michael &Di were very lovely and charming. They had very good knowledge and ideas for things to do in Hobart and surrounds.Our daughter turned 21 while we there and their recommendation for a special meal at Astor Grill was spot on. The breakfasts each morning were wonderful, also different each morning, and a great way to start the day. The accommodation was cosy and intimate and very stylish for our stay. The little touches they supplied every day were most welcome.We would recommend Oceana to our friends and family and anyone looking for a quiet cosy place to stay.

I had an amazing stay at Di and Michael’s beautiful home which overlooked the River Derwent. The room was beautiful and clean and had all the amenities you would need. Breakfast was lovely and the little treats and personal touches made my stay even better. I was travelling alone, and Michael and Di offered suggestions on how to make the most of my stay in Hobart, always checked in with me, and made sure I could return safely when the weather was bad. With hospitality like this, why would you stay anywhere else?

Oceana is an immaculate BnB retreat with the loveliest hosts. Beautiful peaceful location close to Hobart with stunning views looking across the Derwent River to the city. Beautiful room with exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness, so many thoughtfull extras, beautiful large bathroom with heated towel rail and so many luxuries. Hosts Michael and Di are so welcoming and attentive we felt so comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommended accommodation exceptional service and very affordable. Oceana B&B is a beautiful bed and breakfast with stunning views of kunanyi/Mt Wellington and the Derwent River. My hosts, Michael & Di, recommended and booked my wonderful Par Avion Southwest Wilderness day tour which was a an amazing experience. Highly recommended!

Michael & Di were perfect host, very caring and attentive. The room was very clean, comfortable and the amenities were high quality. The surrounding area was peaceful and absolutely beautiful view. We enjoyed the stay and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!!!

This was my second time staying at Oeana B&B and will honestly not be my last, Michael has added some amazing extras like the informative slideshow on the TV of the various sights around Tasmania and is willing to help with any booking for tours. Oh and the music you can choose on the iPad ! Honestly I didn’t think my stay could be better than the last but it was !! Absolutely perfect 💜

We recently spent four wonderful days and nights at Oceana B&B for our travel experience in Hobart. Michael made the booking and planning process exceptionally easy and hassle-free, and assisted my questions about the best possible itinerary with thoughtful suggestions for things to do. From the get-go, Di and Michael were warm and welcoming hosts. They presented a room that was impeccably clean, comfortable, quiet and cozy, and there were extra pillows and throws if required. The bathroom was spacious, with beautiful toiletries, fluffy towels, robes, and a heated towel rail. Every morning we woke up to a tasty and fresh breakfast, a wonderful start to the day with a nice view of the city, Mount Wellington and the surrounding water. We found the Tasmanian image slideshows on the TV to be very informative and useful and enjoyed the Plex video streaming and the in-room music system. We were even asked for our music tastes prior to arrival, a nice touch that set the mood. There was also a well-stocked mini bar with local snacks and drinks to choose from. We really appreciated being able to book a Pennicott Wilderness Cruise full day experience package through Oceana B&B. The whole process was seamless and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oceana B&B and would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended, 10/10.
