Trucountry Inn

Enjoyed my stay. Clean, quiet and enjoyable. All and all okay except for this time there was this strong order of urine as you went up the stairs. It was terrible!

first there was no bathroom in the original room (which I should have seen booking the room) had to stand on the bed to turn on the light and the ceiling was very high. so then we either had light and fan or neither unless we stood on the bed to turn one off. The ac never cooled the room down. We were there for a wedding but had to get dressed elsewhere due to no lighting in the room. also one employee knocked on our door to see who was staying in the room because they had people in rooms that did not belong. Also someone tried to come in our room in the middle of the night twice so no sleep for us. A lot of shady people walking up and down the alley beside the hotel. last I am completely covered in bed bug bites

First of all, the establishment itself is fine but the area around it has declined substantially…. there is now another bar within the same block ( the hotel has one in the lobby also) .. so the night we stayed ( our most recent stay) there was a huge fight in the street right near the hotel , police were called and there were many people hanging out in the parking lot of the hotel way past midnight ( we know this bc we had to go out and retrieve a phone charger from the vehicle ) ….. unsettling for sure!…. Such a shame, we liked this place before and have stayed here on multiple occasions and had never experienced anything like this……

Hair and food on floor no coffee or coffee cups. Noisy loud music, no hand soap just watered down 1/4 in of bottle was full. Floor had not been swept in some time. Window seal full of dead flies.

Trucountry Inn is a very old building. It is uniquely decorated and has some period correct features, toilets and shower off the hall in addition to the rooms. In suite bathroom is pretty clean although the tub shower wasn’t as clean as at home and tub faucet leaked. It is a unique stay, we had Willie and Waylon Suite. Beds are dated but clean and plenty of room. A/C worked well, plenty cool.

We did not get to stay there The room that we got did not have a restroom or a shower inside we had to go to the hallway to use the restroom and take showers That's not acceptable I'm handicapped I cannot go up the stairs very steep stairs it took them 2 hours to come and open the place we're sitting outside I call that number on the outside board they came in unlocked the door but I would like to have my refund back we didn't even stay Miss Miles that we need to get our refund back

Cute old hotel. Steep stairs no elevator. Very small room. But all in all not too bad. The staff was very friendly.

The only reason for the 4 stars on condition/facilities is because it is old/historic, so everything is beautifully dated! It is not new & shiny, but I loved the nostalgia! There is not an elevator, only stairs which is not a problem normally, but I recently had surgery so was difficult. However, Jill & a lovely gentleman helped me take my things upstairs which was SO nice! I did upgrade my room because the Bluebonnet room does not have a bathroom attached (down hall & around the corner). It had everything I needed & was a Great stay!!
