La Paix Hue

The hotel and staff were excellent. Rooms were spotlessly clean. The staff would do anything for you. Such a nice time there. You have to do the boat trip as it picks you up right at the hotel. How bonkers is that?

The only tiny tiny thing was the breakfast. Probably my fault as I'm from the UK and don't generally have meatballs for breakfast. Not a buffet but you select from a menu the day before. Food was nice, don't get me wrong.

We loved our stay at La Paix. It is small and a bit out of the tourist zone but sits along the river. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I was sick one day and they checked on me and brought me ginger tea. They made some great sight seeing suggestions for my husband so he had a good day. The room was cozy but the bed was one of the most comfortable we have experience in 3 weeks in Vietnam.

Too many mosquitoes inside the rooms, breakfast was ok, not the best.

The bed was very comfortable and lovely pillows, some beds in Vietnam are not good. The breakfast was good, not a lot of choice but ok for breakfast, the seating and view if the river was really nice but I struggled with the mosquitos, being near the river probably accounted for this. You have to choose your breakfast the night before and this got a little confusing, ordering on one menu for 2 people. The place was a little away from the city, about 20 min walk on a busy road, Hue was not very clean and there is a lot of plastic and rubbish floating down the river. The people are lovely and there are some nice bars in the centre, you can get a boat ride but we didn't bother due to there being a lot of mosquitos.

I sent some clothes to be laundered and they washed everything together, not separating colours, we had about £100's worth of clothes completely ruined, I am still trying to get the colour stains out of the clothes that were not beyond saving! Make sure you separate clothes when having them laundered. Personally, we would not stay in Hue again.

Personnel très gentil mais hôtel loin du centre, chambres très bruyantes en après-midi et fin de journée, familles de Vietnamien avec leurs enfants. Cela ressemble plus à une maison d’hôte qu’à un hôtel….

Bed is comfy, feels homey.. Too bad, only stayed a bit short.

Bathroom is a bit smelly

Nice setting by the river, with sweet terrace. Room very clean on arrival. Very helpful and lovely receptionist who gave good sightseeing recommendations, and nice to travel by boat to the key sights.

We found the breakfast poor in terms of quality, value and service. Used cups in the room weren't removed or replaced. Overall it was expensive for the level of experience compared with other places we've stayed in Vietnam.
