The elegant décor of the rooms, top-notch amenities, a safe and secure environment and high-quality services are the prime attractions of this property. However, there are two major aspects that sets Hidden Gem apart from the rest: the attention to detail, which you will observe in every aspect of the experience and the manager, Ameena!! I’ll save the best for last! As soon as you walk through the gates, you are immediately aware that every single aspect; from the beautiful pool area to the upper deck overlooking the ocean, is elegant, stylish, sophisticated and tasteful! Well done! Now! Ameena! I can honestly say, never have I encountered a more thoughtful, compassionate, warm-hearted, caring and patient individual. When the driver pulled up, she was literally waiting outside at the gate to greet me with a beautiful, bright and welcoming smile! It was late and she served me one of the many delicious meals I would have the pleasure of eating at Hidden Gem…all prepared with lots of love (I swear I could taste the love!) by Ameena! Did I mention the breakfasts are to die for?! I could go on and on about her but from my personal experience and based on my observations of her interactions with other guests, Ameena truly makes Hidden Gem a rare and unequaled example of how to create a pleasant and memorable experience that leaves a lasting impression (so much so that I booked another week!)❤️

Ameena was the perfect host and Hidden Gem is exactly that. Clean, bright, well appointed rooms and a fresh cooked breakfast in their lovely kitchen. A nice relaxing pool and bar area that was perfect for a chill out day. About 10-15 minutes from Lawrence Gap and Oistins, so an ideal location at an affordable price. It is very local here, with Buffys Bar close by, which includes a minimart. We had the fried fish and a couple of beers and we really felt part of the local community. Everyone at the bar was really friendly and made us feel very welcome.

We needed a stopover close to the airport, this was one of the few that did this. Breakfast was great, freshly prepared, room was colourful and comfortable, with the necessary amenities. Even went for an early morning swim in the pool. 50 yds walk you’re at the sea with beautiful views of the coast line, the sun rising and waves splashing against the rocks. Hosts were friendly and helpful, can’t fault this for what we wanted. Superb.

We received 5 star service from Ameena. We arrived on Christmas Day and the driver Ameena arranged arrived in a timely manner. Ameena also escorted my parents and I to the pickup point for our tour. She cooked brealfast and always offered us meals and rum punch! The location is ideal with a bus that ran regularly about a block away from Hidden Gem.

Everything was cool on my end. Depending on the length of stay, more toilet paper or towels could be helpful.

Hidden Gem Barbados exceeded all our expectations. Situated right by the sea, it offered a tranquil setting where we could hear the soothing sound of waves at night – an unbeatable location. Our room was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The manager, Ameena, was exceptional, providing invaluable tips on local attractions and events that truly enriched our trip. The hotel’s charming building and cozy ambiance made it an ideal retreat. Although we were initially concerned about transportation since the hotel is a bit removed from the town, we found the proximity to the final stop of the local minibusses to be a huge advantage. These minibusses were incredibly convenient, running every 5 to 10 minutes, and allowed us to explore nearby towns like Oistins and Bridgetown affordably. This ease of access made our daytime and nighttime outings from Hidden Gem effortless. While the coastline in front of the hotel isn’t suitable for swimming, getting to other renowned beaches via local transportation was simple and quick. Additionally, its close proximity to the airport made our departure seamless. Choosing Hidden Gem Barbados was the best decision for our trip. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience – we can’t wait to return!

Every room was uniquely decorated and spacious. The common areas were excellent and again decorated well. We liked that we could get our own drinks and everything was so chill.

The location made walking to nearby restaurants very limited. But if you have a vehicle being out of the busy areas would please a lot of people.

Nice pool. Nice shower in the bathroom.

It’s in the middle of nowhere. You have to take a cab everywhere and there’s nowhere to eat. Luckily the restaurant we went to the first night called a nice taxi for us and we used him all week. Our host Ameena was very nice but it seemed like we were an inconvenience and almost felt like we had to sneak around her ‘real’ guests. The Moroccan room is the only one with two beds but the room is so stuffed with decorative objects it’s overwhelming. Actually the whole house is over decorated. The beds desperately need new mattresses. It is far too much money for what we got.

This place was a very nice place to stay and the hostess was friendly and very helpful.

Walk to place to eat dark and seemed unsafe. No TV to watch no programming.
