The Whitmore Inn

Overall our stay was great.. we stayed in the loft and it was pretty clean just wish they had a tv.. it was a small but good enough space to hang out and enjoy the town for the even I was going for..

Cute, quiet and very comfortable.

Property was self check-in (which went smoothly) so interaction with any staff was minimal. Access to the kitchen was appreciated. Hopefully soon breakfast will once again be added to the amenities.

My husband and I had a great experience. Had to change rooms at the last minute and the manager was very accommodating. Appreciated being able to use the kitchen to cook breakfast, as well as the breakfast treats and coffee. Great variety of tea. It did get a bit warm during the night. Central heating works great but with all the doors closed to the rooms, the thermostat can't tell that the house is heating up. We might have missed instructions regarding heating.

Beautiful gardens and nice facility. Self check in was easy. Our room had its own bathroom but other rooms there require sharing with other occupants, which I wouldn’t like. No interface with staff since none present

This Inn on the whole is quite a treasure, but the inn keeper in my opinion is lacking honesty. I rented the Rose Room based on the amenities, TV, Wifi and air conditioning. Got there to find no TV and was told it was removed a year ago yet it is still on the website, wifi does not work in this room and I doubt it is a new problem. Air conditioning was at 80 degrees most of the evening. Very difficult when you run into a less than honest inn keeper

Very easy communication with contactless check in. Cozy and clean room with everything we needed for the night. We were able to park the car right outside our room so really convenient. Perfect spot to spend the night before heading for a backpacking trip in the surrounding woods for a few days :)

We had a wonderful stay in the Garden Room, which was clean and well provisioned. Enjoyed the beautiful back yard overlooking the historic main house. Took a stroll down the main street to a brew pub with good beer, tasty dinner, and live outdoor music where we danced for the first time since the pandemic began. All in all, a very fun visit!

The privacy of room No. 5 was great. For one night the room is OK but lacked storage space for putting things away. The electronic lock did not work properly and rhe key provided did not work. After a couple of frantic calls to the number provided we were told that there is a manager on site. The manager responded promptly and provided us with a key to bypass the electronic lock. The bed was very comfortable. The location is good you can walk into town, we thought rhe gardens and the Victorian house were charming.

This is a sweet inn in an historic house with lots of antiques and a large beautiful deck and garden. Located on the main street through town in easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and galleries. The checkin was easy and contact with the owner was friendly and seamless. Great location for an outdoor wedding or party!
