OYO Eastbank Hotel, Speyside Scotland

Did not go it’s shut

We didn’t end up staying here so this review is really just representative of our initial impressions. The property looked a little run down and not well maintained, the outdoor area in the courtyard was very cobwebby, for example, and when we keyed into our room it had flooded so we immediately told the manager and they sprang into action to address. It seemed that a pipe had burst, so the entire unit was affected. They offered us another room that would fit our group but it didn’t have a private bath so we found another place to stay for the night and was able to get a partial refund, so they did try their best to provide a solution. We felt really bad that they had that issue, the manager looked like she was about to cry. I can’t speak to the other features and amenities of the property.

Great location for exploring the speyside region. Good value for money

Hotel was clean and provided a good bed and shower. Not fancy but did the job.

The hotel had on street parking no private car parking available, the room was twin ordered a double deluxe which was changed at property no problems, staff very helpful very friendly short staffed but hotel operated as normal with breakfast which was small but mighty, sets you up for the day ahead Hotel does evening meals but due to staffing levels they couldn't provide this service. Roon was bright very warm without heaters on and very spacious

The area surrounding hotel was not scenic views, we had to drive 8 miles to get something to eat as the nearby restaurants close Monday and Tuesdays which wasn't great no mention of this when booking There was another hotel nearby but we were not paying £15 for a burger per person if you're visiting be prepared to eat out of town at the start of the week

Very clean and tidy and the owners David and Alison were so nice and accommodating.

Room was very spacious and large comfortable bed
