"nice area with average hotel"

some of the staff are really nice and pleasant, area is calm and bus station just beside it.

cleanliness could be better, room service could improve! we book a quad room thinking that 2 double beds with 2 rooms but actually was one double bed ... however I must say I got a refund from booking.com which helped to calm my soul 😊 please be aware of the description of the room is not accurate!!!

We stayed here as our base in Speyside during our distillery tour in Scotland. Located in the center of Rothes, we could walk to the Glen Grant and Speyburn distilleries (we enjoy walking). The room was spacious and comfortable. On the ground floor, there is a public bar with a wide selection of whiskies, where we enjoyed tasting multiple kinds. We highly recommend this place as an affordable and comfortable base for visiting Speyside.

"Good staff, good location."

Breakfast was more than adequate. Cook was more than willing to make reasonable changes to what we liked. Room was big and Wi-Fi and TV were good. Bathroom was huge and has been modernized. Enough electrical outlets in room for all of todays modern gadgets and rechargers. Staff were super friendly and more than ready to help in any way possible. Parking was directly across street. There was a mini market just up the street for snacks and drinks. Great location for visiting distilleries in Speyside and within a 20 minute drive to some really good restaurants.

"Lacks Customer Service"

For the £133 it cost for the room I was fairly disappointed by the whole offering. Room probably wasn’t worth that for a single occupancy. However my real disappointment was when the receptionist was delighted I didn’t want breakfast as it was another she didn’t have to do and then once checked in I went to the bar at 7:55 to order a beer and food to be told “the chef shut the kitchen, she’s had a long day”. Unfortunately that isn’t my problem and with nothing else open I had to drive 10 miles for food.
