Calichi at Picture Point

I would give 100 stars if I could. This place will blow your mind how spectacular it is. This is my third time going to the Virgin Islands In St. John and this by far, is the best place to stay nothing else on the island compares. The views, pool, hot tub, and quality of rooms were beyond superb. The owner is spared no expense to give us the ultimate luxury experience. Trust me, stay here! You won’t regret it.

Wow! This place is awesome! The owners arrange someone to meet you in Cruz Bay to get you to there and familiarize yourself with the Villa and property. Off your deck, off the pool, off the hot tub, the views from this property are simply amazing! The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The villa was top notch and the best place our family has ever stayed. Enjoyed this more than all-inclusive resorts we've been to. This place has all you need to have an amazing vacation. The kitchen has everything you need to cook or grill awesome meals. There's a great little Dolphin Market at the bottom of the hill .5 miles away to get everything you need. We chose this end of the Island for easy access to the National Park Hiking trails and beaches. So glad we did to shorten the crazy left side driving on winding roads. Did the pretty difficult/steep Johnny Horn trail the 1st day to Waterlemon Cay Hike where you'll be rewarded with awesome snorkeling around the Cay on a very secluded beach at your half way point. 2nd day we planned on going to Maho Bay to see Turtles but wanted to hike Cinnamon Bay self guided 1st. So glad we did because we ended up having a beach day there. Awesome beach with GREAT snorkeling around the island to the left where we did sea turltes an more. 3rd day we headed south and did the Salt Pond Bay/Ram's Head Hike - the best hike we did. Lots of changing terrain and great views and cool breezes at top. Beautiful beach! Thank you Alex, Amy, Sabrina and staff

Calichi was a great as we hoped it would be based on the pics and other reviews. The roads to get there are a little more rustic/steep than I'd anticipated, so I would recommend renting a Jeep. But the views from that high up were amazing. It was an amazing trip, and we can't wait to go back to St. John and Calichi. I'm almost scared to recommend it because I don't want it to get so popular that it is always sold out!

Pros The property is beautiful. The villas and location stand out as the nicest ones on the island given that the rest of the island is shockingly underdeveloped for a U.S. territory. The views are breath taking and stunning. With lots of places for great pictures. The beaches are beautiful and well worth the hair-raising rides to and from the property. The property is on the less developed side of the island so having staff meet you at the ferry to escort you there was a good part of the package. Cons Technical issues: Upon arrival, we had several issues with the satellite, Wi-Fi, and power during our stay. It was obvious that the property had either been struck by lightning or had a large power surge which took out all of the electrical systems. The staff was completely unaware of any issues. After several conversations with the staff, we discovered the guests before us reported power issues and no one followed up to make sure the issues were addressed. The best advice we can give the management is to make time to inspect all systems in the villa, before your guests arrive. That way you are proactive and not reactive to issues with the property. Customer service was sorely lacking. We experienced an inappropriate incident in the common area on the property in which the management did a poor job in following up. Mostly words in reaction to our concern, but no action to express concern. We were not even given a respectful thank you and have a safe trip after we left.

It is as close to paradise as you can get. Simply great care to build and maintain this property.

Words can't describe how pleased we were with our trip here. Private and beautiful and only 5 minutes from the local restaurants and shops.

The property had one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen directly out of the living room and bedroom. It was equipped with everything you possibly would need, from cooking to regular life stuff. And the pool area is absolutely amazing! The property manager was very friendly and helpful. There was no complains at all, except that the bathroom didn’t smell good at times (possibly because of a septic tank or pipes?) But I am sure if we would have contacted the manager he would have solved it right away, but we didn’t so it was on us.

we thought when we viewing the photos of the property, and the view that it is very nice but probably photoshopped. Actually, the reality is much nicer. we were thrilled. this place is outstanding!
