The Bull

I stayed in a single room for one night following a gig and it met my needs perfectly. Nigel, the owner, was brilliant and very accomodating with my late check in as I was unable to arrive till after 11pm due to other commitments I had earlier in the day. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Good place to stay and friendly staff and helpful staff and good food and breakfasts not to far from town centre

Ideally located for my conference at Aston. Public areas very clean but bedroom a little grubby and an extremely uncomfortable bed made sleep difficult. Staff were very pleasant.

Great overnight stay. I was looking for somewhere cheap n cheerful as just meeting friends for drinks, but to be fair the room was clean and fresh. A lot better than I was expecting. Would stay again 👍

We arrived at 12:45 (check in was Noon and the building was closed. We rang and no one answered then what I assume was the cleaner let us in. She eventually showed us to our room but advised we’d need to come back down to check in. No coat hangers in the wardrobe and very little storage in the room. When we asked and were given hangers these were too wide for the wardrobe! Shower looked modern but drainage was poor and you had to turn the water off mid shower as otherwise the bathroom would have flooded. Beds were old and uncomfortable and one bed smelt musty/cat pee. Rooms were hot and the only ventilation was to open the windows which meant the room was flooded with traffic noise from the nearby main road. Not a pleasant stay and thankfully we were out most of the days we stayed at the venue.

Great location if you need to be in central Birmingham. The nearby road is noisy, but I was expecting that. Friendly staff, and well-priced.

The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. And the hotel was ideally placed for our stay.

Very friendly welcome. Clean comfortable room, Staff and the pub locals were friendly and welcoming. I'm glad I stayed there.

Old-fashioned, but charming, we were greeted by friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you, room was a little dated but spotless and had all that was needed for a comfortable night's stay. The local area was a bit run down and there are works going on to rejuvenate the area, The Bull is only a short walk into the city centre. We had breakfast which was delicious and cooked fresh to order. Overall well worth the money.

Excellent place to stay. Haven't slept as good in years, very comfy beds. Twin room was perfect, shower was fab too. The food here is also very tasty, great menu with plenty of variety. Highly recommended!
