The pub is a short walk from St Chad's tram stop so was easy to get to. The room was comfortable, compact, but perfect for one person. Smart ensuite bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. All the staff were very friendly, as were the locals in the pub. Excellent beer and good value for money. There was some noise from the road but I was expecting that when I booked. However, I still had a good sleep on both nights.

Tidy en-suite single room with all the necessary items (beverages/toiletries) & decent Wi-Fi. Also happens to be a good pub which also helps🍺

Nice traditional pub.The triple room was a bit small for 3 adults but ok for a short stay. Good sized modern bathroom. Road noise was not a problem for us but the surrounding area is badly littered spoiling the overall good experience.

Hotel was ok it did it’s job but room wasn’t the cleanest. Left over shower gel. Discarded rubbish on the window still. Dust on the light switch and a pubic hair was next to the shower and did not notice it till I was in the shower in the morning. Landlord of the pub didn’t look very happy at all hardly no communication from him when I walked into the pub. Also one of the shower tiles on the floor was coming away

For the price, this was amazing! Staff super friendly on check in, room was clean as were common areas. Some of the decor was a bit tired, and there were a couple of cracked tiles in the bathroom, but for a place to rest my head after a long day it was ideal. Close to a busy road and the windows were only single glazed so if you're a light sleeper you might need earplugs.

It’s a proper traditional English pub good beer selection excellent breakfast I’ll use it again

If you are looking for a cheap overnight stay fairly convenient for the city center then this may tick a box. If you are looking for somewhere for a special occasion then look elsewhere. Room was tiny, road noise was overpowering and window had to be opened as it was a red hot day. Could feel all the springs in the mattress.

Nice staff, it was very very hot so had window open at night, it right next to the ring road so traffic noise was very loud along with street lights keeping me awake, curtains were nice but not sufficient to keep room dark

Nice pub for an overnight stay. My room was well furnished with a nice modern bathroom
