The staff was great and the food was amazing.

Our jacuzzi tub leaked and it took an hour for someone to call us to fix after we had already cleaned it up. We only got a $75 discount ($25/night) when we only booked this suite b/c of the tub. We paid about $300 more than the standard king room. That was our only complaint other than the fitness equipment needs an upgrade.

The facilities and the staff were excellent and the breakfast were good too.

There was one disappointment with the cleaning part of this hotel. The linings and towels are not up to the beautiful facilities. The linings and towels are way over used and appeared dirty and stained. My wife was grossed out and could not used the towels to clean her face with. This was a disappointing part of the experience. If you stay at this hotel, bring your own towels.

Location and modern aesthetic.

1. Showers only had cold water. Initially they made it seem like it was an everyday thing, then I was told that something electrical had happened but they were going to try and let me stay at the 3rd floor for warmer water. It didn’t happen. They moved me to the second floor for better view and an additional bed. Not enough. 2. Everyone (from the check-in peeps to the servers) seemed upset that I chose to charge things to the room. Like this is a pool hotel, I will not be carrying my cards or cash in my swimsuit. 3. We ate in the restaurant for dinner once, the food took 50 mins to come out and it was cold. They didn’t offer to remake it or reheat it. Which is crazy. 4. No cribs, which would not have been a big issue if it wasn’t for everything else. The manager was nice enough to add an additional/shorter bed instead. 5. Honestly, the fact that they didn’t allow early check in after they knew their water heater was broken is crazy to me. We paid $300 a night for a horrible experience and they couldn’t even allow early check in? Disgusting. 6. The facility itself is wearing down and they are not keeping up with maintenance. The staff needs to be trainined in high-class service. If I’m paying almost double than Real Intercontinental or Barceló, I expect better service, not worse. Horrible waste of money and time. I tried to give the manager a chance to change my mind (since she offered) but I guess she might not have the authority to at least change my family to a room with proper heating or even comp the bad meal. Terrible.
