Jenna's River Bed & Breakfast

Couldn’t have had a better stay in Panajachel. This B&B was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped me set up tours and transfers before I even arrived onsite. I stayed in the Quetzal Yurt. It was spacious and clean. This yurt has the best views by far. There are two large patios on two different levels. WiFi was fast. Breakfast was cooked perfectly and there were many choices in addition to the standard breakfast which is included. We had dinner at Al Jouri restaurant which is prepared by a different chef than the women who prepare breakfast. The dinner was amazing and very reasonably priced. I also had a 90 minute massage which was fantastic. There are two adorable cats on site. Samson and Delilah. Delilah is the friendlier of the two. She is just adorable. The B&B is a short tuk tuk from shopping, restaurants and many attractions. Very easy to take the boats to other areas. The housekeeping staff cleaned the room everyday. We had our laundry washed and it was clean and folded in the same day.

Jenna's has a stunning setting where every single yurt has an incredible view of Lake Atitlan. My yurt was rustic and charming with a large balcony. Enjoying the balcony in the evening was one of the highlights of my visit to Guatemala! Love the restaurant as well. The management staff really care about making the visit flawless.

We had an amazing stay and could not have asked for a better experience. The views of Lake Atitlán and the surrounding volcanoes are absolutely breathtaking. Perched on a hill, the hotel offers a peaceful, immersive setting where you can truly enjoy the area’s natural beauty, wildlife, and resources. Waking up to these views and the sounds of nature was unforgettable. This is a must-try destination for anyone seeking tranquility, stunning scenery, and a unique connection with nature. Highly recommended.

Jenna's River B&B is a unique stay with a wonderful view! Each of the yurts is comfortable and "stacked" against the land leading down to the sea. There is also a little gem of a restaurant attached to the wonderful Jenna's River B&B. The chef is a magician. I was here for a pre-wedding Happy Hour and the next day for the wedding and dinner afterwards. The star of the Happy Hour was the fried shrimp. They were crisp and flavorful and served with the best spicy dip! The wedding meal was grand by any standard; everything was delicious, and the portions were huge. The staff was gracious and friendly, so attentive and enthusiastic. It felt more like being at someone's house than a restaurant. Short ribs, hummus, fish, salad, so many tasty dishes! The desert, and the wedding cake, was the best Dolce de Leche cake I have ever tasted. Bravo to the chef and Al Jouri Restaurant. It's worth the tuk-tuk ride there, but you won't want to leave!

I planned a trip for my mom and I to Guatemala, it had always been a place I wanted to visit. When we arrived at Lake Atitlan we got a tuktuk to Jenna's, their What's App communication was SO HELPFUL. This boutique hotel is exactly the place you want to stay for views, food, and relaxation during your visit to Lake Atitlan. After visiting many of the towns around the lake and spending afternoons wandering through Panajachel, no other accommodation can compare. Unlimited coffee in the morning for my early-rising mom, Lino the tuktuk tour guide, and the most gorgeous view of the lake made this a trip to remember. Thank you Jenna's!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jenna's for a family wedding. It is a beautiful setting, very comfortable, and has an amazing on-site restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a terrific time - both Adriana and Adrina managed transport, booked massages, offered an unforgettable yoga class and were just exemplary overall. Yvan coordinated all of the details and managed many moving parts. Johnny and Allie at the bar took great care of everyone and made terrific cocktails. Norbert continued to delight us with delicious food (best fattoush I've ever had!). We had a group of 19 show up late one evening during our stay, and the kitchen staff rose to the challenge - Johnny took care of everyone - and the women in the kitchen worked late to make sure that we were well-fed. They were back early the next morning to prepare our breakfast - thank you to Lizeth, Aura, Danira, Gaby, Yolanda and Lizeth for feeding us so well over many days! We will never forget the time we had at Jenna's - thank you to everyone who made it so special.

Totally worth the very brief venture outside town for the unbeatable view, you won't be disappointed! Be sure to wake up to watch the sunrise from your own private covered patio or even from your bed. I also suggest sitting out to watch the sunset over the mountains from their restaurant. During the night we were able to sit and enjoy the moon reflecting on the lake. The hotel has a wonderfully curated eclectic vibe. The complex is thoughtfully designed (but be prepared for some stairs - after all you're on the side of a mountain) and the gardens are immaculate. You feel as if your tucked amongst the forest in a private garden. The staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged our professional private transportation to and from Guatemala City and helped us arrange trusted tuk tuks into town. High speed wifi that's included enabled us to stream movies. Can't recommend the on site Syrian restaurant's tasting menu enough! Enjoy incredibly fresh and flavorful authentic Syrian food made with local ingredients for their covered restaurant patio that overlooks the lake. Get there early as they will sell out or make a reservation. We enjoyed the coffee that was available all day and the included breakfast.

What an amazing experience, great value and the view was fantastic. Stay in the Armadillo room if you can. Also do the dinner tasting menu for sure. Cant wait to go back! Easily located to get a tuk tuk into town and very helpful in arranging transport to and from Guatemala City or Antigua.

Great location with a lovely atmosphere! We friendly welcome from the staff! Before our arrival, they reached out with useful information. Rooms are clean and are all facing the lake. The restaurant attached to the hotel is incredibly! Unique in the area, it offers a Syrian cuisine worth a detour. Ask for their wine menu, you won’t be disappointed!

The lodgings were extremely comfortable and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. It was like staying in a landscaped botanical garden. There are some stairways to maneuver between street level and the rooms, but the view is totally worth it. Easy walking distance to Panajachel and Santa Catarina Palopo, though there are many tuk-tuks or nice locals willing to give you a ride in the back of their pickup truck if you are not up for the walk. Great food on-site with all the local flavors, and some very unique cuisine with inspirations from the Middle East.
