The Shoal Unit 405 Shoal Bay

Views from our balcony were amazing, we saw dolphins swimming around right out front. It was in the best location, so convenient, right near everything. The place was clean, comfy and affordable.

There were no toiletries, only a small hotel style hand soap. Being as we were 4 people this wasnt adequate, and nothing for us to use in the shower so went and bought a shower gel & shampoo/conditioner. This was not a big problem, we were very happy with our stay but would have been nice to include some toiletries.

Very good location to Shoal bay . Apartment facing the water side so had god views.

Had to return keys to reception by 10.. so had to get up and pack earlier . Had 2 cars and the visitor car space was already taken . Had to park and pay outside .

2 lifts were confusing! So were the parking spaces!

Location is great, right behind the shops on the main street. Beds were comfortable. Aircon in the bedrooms are good.

There were no bathroom amenities provided, except for one bar of soap between two rooms. It would have been lovely to have a little shower gel/shampoo/conditioner provided. These things make a difference as I don't want to travel with these items! The balcony needed a good clean, we couldn't go out in bare feet because it was covered in sand, salt and dirt. The shower floods the bathroom, the drain is slow to empty and with open design, all the water just floods into the centre drain! Unfortunately the shower should really have a door.

Great location and the rooms were solid

For a short term stay having a single use soap and dishwashing liquid was inadequate as we then had to buy both to have enough to use for our stay. There was not laundry detergent so to use the washing machine we had to buy our own. Having the key collection being in Nelson’s Bay (10 minutes drive) was also a bit annoying.
