"Great location - shame about some of the property standards"

5.0

Great location - right in the middle of Stratford. A fully equipped kitchen - with tea and coffee available - sadly no milk.

There were a few comforts missing here. The bedroom has 2 windows, one with see through curtains and the other with a rail but no curtains at all - meaning when daylight starts about 3.30am the room is very light. The curtains in the living space are also see through. The living s pace had a clothes rail, and a wardrobe space in the bedroom, but no hangers at all. The electrics are questionable, one socket cover fell off and the lead for the random lamp hanging on the wall has wires exposed. The bathroom is not very well laid out - you have to step past the toilet to get out of the shower and we were only given 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel.

"Excellent accommodation for a few days in Stratford area"

8.0

Great location, very comfortable and spacious. Appreciated the daffodils left for our arrival.

For a single night stay it would have been helpful to have been left some shower gel, shampoo etc. and maybe a pint of milk in the fridge.

"Overpriced, impersonal, and disappointing"

6.0

Great location, very clean, good communication with host who responds quickly. Housekeeper and handyman both very professional and friendly. Lots of space, bed was comfortable. Kitchen adequately stocked.

A lot of the apartment is a bit shabby/tired. The kitchen layout is very awkward. There are zero 'nice touches' (not even spare loo roll), there's bad smells from the bathrooms and a lot of noise from the street and other flats. The wifi does not extend throughout the apartment. Should have a lockbox as I had to wait around in the cold like a lemon sorbet waiting to be let in. When I got in, the apartment was freezing and a handyman had to be called to fiddle with the boiler and make it work (one radiator doesn't work at all). I spent the first day freezing which wasn't a very nice start to the stay. Note: All this would be absolutely fine if it weren't that the price is so expensive and sets the expectation to be so much higher. I was hoping to treat myself to something a bit special and was disappointed. Felt like it had the disadvantages of an Airbnb with none of the advantages. It's also a very impersonal apartment that doesn't capitalise at all on the fact that it's a Tudor building. Bland artwork and decor instead of any vague nod to the locale or history. Absolutely no notes/interest in/ commentary on the history of the building and consequently no atmosphere which is such a waste.

"Really nice place, slap bang in the middle of town . All boxes ticked."

I think the showers hadn’t been used for a while, and this meant they smelled. No big deal but it would have been nicer not to have the odour.
