Central location in Phong Nha, lovely family!

The price and the staff were super friendly and nice

I think I really wanted to like the place and for price I’m willing for a little give. However just some things were not great such as the cleanliness of the beds which we found a number of marks on the bedding and the refrigerator was not clean. Also there was only a moment of hot water so one of us was left without hot water and the night was pretty cold since the sheets were thin. Breakfast was provided however the staff got our order all wrong, we had to rush off so ate what was provided anyways

Some of the other places in Phong Nha have pools. There's not one here, but the river is nice to float in.

Really enjoyed our stay for the most part, nice bungalows and friendly people, breakfast was good too.

On our last day we waited around 30 minutes to pay to leave meaning we didn’t have time for breakfast as it would’ve taken time for them to cook etc. and we had a bus to catch, this was because only one person there is able to take orders and payments (we had even asked if we could pay when we first arrived and told to wait until we left).

Staff were friendly, the lady cooked a decent evening meal and its a pleasant environment.

Staff were very helpful and allowed us to check in at 3am as well as doing our washing (for a small fee). Room was big and on the river which was lovely.

Bathroom was a bit dirty. Had dinner at their restaurant and the pho was quite disappointing.

I liked everything and that is the truth straight from my heart. Everything from the room, food, hospitality, recommendations, local area knowledge, and especially the people, were outstanding. The family who owns and runs are a bungalow took me into their family and made me feel like I truly found my home away from home. They even took me to the local music carnival with their family to drink sugarcane! If personally catered hospitality and a real family experience is what excites you, look no further than Areca bungalow. Oh and the swing in the backyard along the river was worth the stay by itself. Next time I’m in Phong Nha Areca Bungalow will be the only place I stay.
