Excellent luxury stay. Well-renovated historical building, beautiful gardens, fresh food home grown and locally sourced. Great small touches that shows attention to detail. Personal and professional service. Great place to stay e.g. when visiting Hobbiton since it is only 25 min away by car. Also nice just for a comfortable getaway to relax.

Glen and Mark were fantastic hosts!! We felt at home in their beautiful home. Dinner and the breakfast had everything you could want. I would love to return here again.
Villa Walton is a must stay if visiting Matamata. Beautiful rooms and decor, delicious homemade food, immaculate grounds and exceptional hosts - Glenn was knowledgeable about the area, giving great advice on things to see, and made sure that we enjoyed our stay at both Villa Walton and Matamata.
Charming bed and breakfast with Victorian styling, updated amenities and features like a heated towel rack in the bathroom, and stand-up-frameless shower. The property was quiet and made it easy to relax. The owners are fantastic hosts who provide excellent coffee, breakfast and drinks for a relaxing nightcap. My wife is still talking about the avocado toast with toasted cheese. Definitely recommend Villa Walton.
Amazing stay - perfection in every detail. If I could rate it higher I would. The accommodation, food and hospitality were superb. Glen was an outstanding host and we thoroughly enjoyed ( and extended) our stay. Congratulations, best bnb ever.
