Our stay at Jonkmanshof in Montagu was unforgettable. The property is beautifully designed, with a calm, refined atmosphere that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. The gardens are exquisite, the rooms are thoughtfully put together, and every detail reflects real care. We loved the sense of privacy and the quiet charm of the surroundings, which made it an ideal place to unwind. It was a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and authenticity, and we would return in a heartbeat.

Tout, le décor est magnifique. Nos hôtes charmants et disponibles. Le jardin est fou. Et l Intérieur est digne des plus belles guesthouse. Ça n est pas pour rien qu ils ont eu les honneurs de Elle Deco. On a adoré.

Jonkmanshof is so beautiful it’s hard to put into words! The house and decor absolutely took our breath away, our room was incredible and the garden was heaven. Hein, Brydon, James and the housekeeping ladies were all fabulous and truly made our 2 nights with them some of the best of our 2 week honeymoon. The dinner the private chef Marc made on our first night was sublime and Brydon even made dinner reservations for our for our second night which was a fabulous surprise. The town of Montagu is small with a few nice shops, but honestly this is a stay where you won’t want to leave so whatever is around isn’t so relevant! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely nothing not to like.

This is probably the most unique place I’ve ever stayed at. Jonkmanshof is a true gem right in the center of Montagu. As soon as you step in you are transported into a new world. The house is masterfully decorated and the garden is mind blowing. The beds are extremely comfortable and breakfast is also a delight. Toiletries, linen, and in general the whole environment are easily a level above what you can find in many a 5-star hotel.

The only point of improvement is that, unfortunately, lots of light creeps in early in the morning, so you can expect to be woken up at dawn. Only some windows have blinds and the master bedroom has glass doors that give onto the garden. My family and I also stayed as a group and had the whole house to ourselves. This made us feel like we were at home. I do recommend you also go as a group. If you were to share the property with a different person/couple the experience may be different. However these are minor points and should in no way discourage you from staying here!

The best stay we’ve ever had. From the warm and welcoming arrival, the attention to detail, the interior, the perfect outside relaxing sports between the citruses, the excellent breakfast. No words but pure perfection.
