Jonkmanshof - 20 Bath

We had the most amazing stay in this beautiful country house dream! You feel like living in a Vogue Living magazine - the apartment is so beautifully decorated with little details everywhere. You share the house with just another couple, as there are only two bedrooms so that you have the whole area to yourself (pool, garden, kitchen, living room etc.). Hein and Bryant gave us a very warm welcome, we’re super quick in their communication and made us fresh breakfast every morning. This was definitely one of the highlights of our South Africa trip. Highly recommend and will definitely come again! Thank you for the unforgettable stay!

Jonkmanshof is one of the best stays we've had. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The interiors inside look like they are straight from a magazine and the gardens outside are equally as lovely. So many additional nice touches such as hand made soaps, etc, made from the citrus fruits grown in the garden and the breakfasts were outstanding. The hosts (Hein and Brydon) were both so great, very friendly and provided great recommendations for food and things to do. They both went above and beyond what you would expect of any host. A most memorable stay.

The house was one of the most beautiful we have ever been in, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and breakfasts were to die for every morning :) Just the perfect stay, right in the middle of the best part of Montagu! Special mention to the jaw dropping citrus garden!

Comfortable, stylish with a real collectors eye that links history modernity and the best of contemporary living. This house is a work of outstanding aesthetics combined with the best of hoteliers flair. A real sense of staying in the great house of a friend with refined taste. But always comfortable at every turn. I wanted to read, look and settle in any room. A real treat in an over marketed world of banality. This is the high benchmark.

Nothing at all to complain about it even to suggest improvement. The most delicious and perfect breakfasts in South Africa, indeed anywhere.

You have to understand that this is an extremely special place. Curated with exceptional taste and creativity and maintained impeccably.

The property transports you in an original way to another time of elegance, calm and connection to nature and the pioneering spirit. Unique and amazing. And the hosts care so much in enhancing and facilitating the experience. Just wonderful.

It was like something out of a movie. So elegant and tasteful. Such special touches and thoughtful ideas that made our stay really memorable. We felt lucky to stay here and Hein was so helpful and considerate as was Brydon. We will be back!

This was our second visit to bathe in the beauty and tranquility of Jonkmanshof, this time to take in a milestone in life. The meditative pool and gardens, the art and attention to the detail, made this the perfect place to take it all in. Hein and Ryden made it the more special with wonderful recommendations and the best breakfasts. Thank you for the experience of a life time.
