A superb experience from start to finish. Mario was a very thoughtful and attentive host, who went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was fabulous, the rooms were impeccable and luxurious, and we loved the whole ambience of the place. The location was also perfect. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed another unforgettable stay at Villa Adalbert. Here you enter a beautiful place, and you just feel like coming home, being spoiled by the most passionate and exceptional host Mario. He cares for everything and nothing is too much for him. Breakfast is served on special places in the garden which you can choose and Mario is serving you a breakfast you will never forget. He pays attention to every details. This place is paradise. We definitely will be back. Thank you Mario for all your help and generosity.

We travel a lot and Villa Adalbert is one of the most neat and clean establishments that we ever stayed at. Mario is a very pleasant host. He knows the nearby wine farms well and offered many tips on what to see and do. I can just confirm what other reviews already say - we had a very delicious breakfast with many options to choose from - excellent hot and cold breakfast choices. We will definitely stay again when in the area - it is a great choice for accommodation in Somerset West, close to the Strand and even close enough to Stellenbosch. The garden is also lovely and well taken care of.

Lovely breakfast experience in a peaceful and chic-designed garden or in the romantic gazebo overlooking the beautiful property, pool and garden; an incredible savoury and appetising food prepared by Mario - you can choose from a variety of food options.

It was our third time at Villa Adalbert so we already knew what to expect. But yet again we were overwhelmed by the beauty of this house and the hospitality of Mario. Every little detail of this place is kept to perfection and spotlessly clean! The room and bathroom are decorated with loads of style and taste and we found everything you might want from that carafe of sherry on the side table to the pocket umbrella for the very rare Capetonian shower! The garden is a provencal dream come true with its hedges and lavender and we absolutely loved that intense scent of Jasmin in one corner at night. The breakfast is absolutely unrivaled and you choose when and where to have it served. We found a piece of decoration art on our plates every morning! Mario keeps his business small enough to be able to pay close and personal attention to every single visitor himself and does it with utmost friendliness and professionally. One notices immediately that he loves what he's doing and that shows throughout. Thank you again for a fantastic stay!
