Richard was very helpful and friendly, the room makes you feel like home. Really comfy and clean. We absolutely loved little breakfast bags as well.

Richard was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The guest house was clean, had great views and was central to everything.

Great location for the steam railway as only 2mins walk away

The guest house is very tired and grubby, our room was very small with mould on walls and around the window, the plug sockets were all overflowing with extentions and wall paper peeling. There us a dinning room and it would have been good to have had a cooked breakfast rather than a paper bag of cake, biscuit, banana and juice. There is very little in Blaenau Ffestiniog other than the Railway a chip shop and 2 small supermarkets

It was very clean and Richard was so helpful and very welcoming.

The bed was uncomfortable but that was all didn’t spoil our stay.

We had a lovely 4 night stay in Isallt Guesthouse. Our host Richard is super friendly. We were well informed about everything. The stairs to the attic room are quite narrow, but it is an old house, so what do you expect? He helped us with our luggage and showed us the room. He also gave my husband some nice tips for walking. The room was exactly as described. We booked the family room, because of the fridge and the little seating area. The breakfast bag was not entirely to our taste for a breakfast, but all the items were useful later in the day. Also: it was very clearly communicated that there would be a breakfast bag and not a cooked breakfast. The breakfast room was well equiped. The Coop is a short walk away, that's where we bought some groceries. There is also a Morrisson Daily a few steps away, but we preferred the Coop. The microwave was very handy for heating up some ready meals. The town itself is a little run down to our opinion, but Blaenau-Ffestiniog is a great base for exploring Snowdonia. Parking was never a problem.

The mattress was very uncomfortable, for us anyway. We could feel every spring and my back was really hurting in the morning. The sealant in the shower should really be replaced. The bathroom itself had damp issues, the extractor fan did not seem to work. All in all: we had a nice stay, and it is very good value for money in our opinion.
