No cereal or fruit for breakfast

Unfortunately, our experience with Bonne Nuit Guest House was quite disappointing. Around 48 hours before arrival, we were informed that the property was overbooked and were offered an alternative accommodation. While we agreed to this in advance, the replacement did not match the standard or facilities of the original booking. The alternative property lacked several listed amenities (such as electric kettle), the AC was not working and the room was uncomfortably hot. When we asked for a solution (asked for a fan), we were simply told to 'open a window', which was not ideal as no insect screens were also provided so much for it being listed. Parking was also very limited despite being initially confirmed, which made it difficult to plan our stay. Not to mention receptionist was never available, second day for breakfast was left alone with just 'toast' (no cheese/milk/coffee) for breakfast! Even though the review is for another location, we tried to raise these concerns through Booking.com during our stay, but unfortunately received no response from the property at the time. Communication only came after we had already checked out, which was frustrating. Additionally, there was a discrepancy with the tourist tax charged (10 euro not really 6euro) and no receipt was provided. Overall, the situation was not handled at the level expected, and the experience did not reflect what we originally booked.
