Yala Wild House

A very wild house, built with love by the owner with total respect of the nature. The owner is kind, a very good cooker and made our stay as comfortable as possible. He makes you feel at home.

Everything was perfect

Host was excellent and friendly. Always accommodating. Location to Yala safari was brilliant. Host arranged full day of safari and pick up from camp. Food was delicious and varied Sri Lankan dishes.

Room was warm at night. Fan provided but still warm. I guess it is in the middle of the desert so to be expected.

This is a very wild house. Very kind owner. Do not expect a wifi. Rooms are nice, clean, with animals in it (gheco). Meals are very good, owner is a good chef.

This was such a special experience. The area was so calm and peaceful. We even saw a mouse deer right next to our house. We also got really spoilt with fruits, great food and beverages. Host organized a safari jeep and driver for us with packed breakfast and lunch during the Yala visit. We couldn't be more happy that we visited this amazing off grid oasis and would visit again.

on arrival, there was a man who was quite pushy in trying to convince us to go on safari with him even though we repeatedly explained we had already booked one

Such a cool place in the forest, next to the owners own vegetable farm. The owner and his family cooked amazing meals and showed us around to a nearby lake and their farm. I even got to pet their puppies! The host arranged a safari Jeep run by his brother, and the safari was cool, saw elephants, crocodiles, leopard, deers and buffalos. I really liked the vibe at this place and the feeling of being in the wilderness. the beds were very comfy and everything was so clean. Really recommend!
