Oceanfront Penthouse

The location has a full sea view, except that it is on a very busy main Rd and on the trainline. This was spelled out in the description, but there is not suitable place to cross the street and its public street parking...so first come. You could end up walking a long way...not nice in the dark.

The garage doors did not open. This matter was meant to have been brought to the attention of the owners, but no one contacted us ...not even to apologize. As a result my car had to park on the street for 2 nights. At night there are many people roaming around. The ad for the place is deceptive as it mentions Penthouse...this is a far cry from a penthouse. There are 2 mentions of hot tub and 1 mention of jacuzzi...but there is nothing. Just a standard rather small bathroom. The shower is quite small. There was no contact phone number to call anyone if we have a problem. No back up invertor for load shedding...most reputable places have accommodated for load shedding.

Not enough toilet paper was provided for the duration of our stay.

The view is amazing, and the layout of the accommodation is really nice and comfortable. It was clean and well organised. The bedding was clean, but the shower towels were really small. Kitchen is clean and well organised.

For the price, you would expect some better backup during loadshedding. Something to at least be able to boil water or back up battery to open the garage door. Yes, there are keys to opening the garage door manually, but being a lady alone will not be able to open the wooden door. The electricity ran out on the prepaid meter and had to get that sorted out 10 minutes before loadshedding started again. Yes, we understand that they can not see the meter while there is a guest, but then at least load the meter with enough to last their stay.

The view was amazing and the house was clean.

The steep entrance is very very dangerous and slippery. This needs urgent attention. The hot water tap pressure in the bathroom basin was very low. The towels are extremely old and need to be replaced. You can tell that the owner is into literature but some of the books placed in the bedrooms can be very triggering considering the history of our country.

Location location location and the views are priceless You can see the ocean, hear the ocean and smell the ocean, loved it.

Only one set of keys, when asked for another it was to much effort as previous guests had lost a set. No provision for load shedding, the last three apartments we stayed in had wifi throughout load shedding and provided alternative means for heating water or cooking facilities. Enterence up steep uneven path my wife fell over and injured her arm and leg. Very clever photos that fail to show railway line in front of penthouse. Uber taxis none existent, over 1 km to walk to restaurants

The view from the apartment was fantastic.

Hair dryer that was provided could not been plugged in anywhere in the apartment because of the plug.
