My stay at Bakenskraal Ostrich Palace was nothing short of extraordinary and will remain on my top list of memorable travel experiences. From the moment we arrived, the place felt truly special, with a unique character and atmosphere that immediately made us feel welcome. The accommodation is outstanding in every sense. The rooms are beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and finished to a very high standard. The house itself has an undeniable magic about it, full of history, charm, and warmth that makes you feel instantly at home. What truly sets Bakenskraal apart is the exceptional service. The staff went far beyond what was expected, going out of their way to accommodate us with a braai, even making roosterkoek for us, and ensuring that every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Breakfast was equally exceptional and beautifully prepared, generous, and clearly made with love and genuine care. The entire experience made me fall in love with the Karoo. Bakenskraal Ostrich Palace is a rare gem that leaves you with warm, lasting memories, and I will most definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly memorable and heartfelt Karoo escape.

"Tolle Unterkunft für ein bis zwei Nächte :)"

Die Unterkunft und die Zimmer waren sehr schön, es war gut beschrieben und gut zu erreichen. Die Kommunikation mit der Unterkunft war ebenfalls sehr gut (Code für Tor wurde rechtzeitig vorab mitgeteilt usw.). Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und geräumig und das Personal sehr freundlich, Essen war in Ordnung.

Wir haben auf der Farm zwei Strauße gesehen, die einen nicht sehr gesunden Eindruck gemacht haben. Außerdem werden Touren angeboten und empfohlen, wir haben uns die Touren vorab angesehen und uns zum Wohle der Tiere dagegen entschieden.

The bed made for a superb sleep. Breakfast was divine. The staff were amazing. All in all, we had a terrific stay at Bakenskraal. The property has old-school charm, coupled with modern-day amenities and good service.

Beautiful and comfortable, clean and conveniently located.

I would suggest adding a luggage rack or bench to place suitcases on in each room as well as a hairdryer in each room.
