Agriturismo La Fontaccia

We had a wonderful stay! The view from our apartment was breathtaking. Sam, the owner, was so hospitable, he took time to tell us about the property and the history of the area, he gave us tips on where to hike, where to eat, where to travel to after our stay, it felt like visiting family. His wife made amazing breakfast from scratch, it was delicious! The apartment was clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend for a romantic or family stay!

Simply beautiful and had a perfect stay!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this beautiful location. The agriturismo is an oasis of rest and relaxation away from the hustle of big crowded cities. Everything was really nice; the room was clean and spacious with a nice view of the surrounding hills. The hosts Samuele and Elisabeta are amazing and they really care about their guests. They helped us with planning our trips to Florence, Siena , hiking in the area and they even arranged for us to attend to a wine tasting at a local winery. 2 out of 3 evenings, at dinner , Elisabeta cooked for us and the other guests some delicious local dishes and Samuele was busy to recommend the local wines from Rufina. All the ingredients used to cook were coming from their own garden or from local /neighbor suppliers. Breakfast and dinner are served on the terrace which overlooks the fantastic landscape of the region. One night we had a joint dinner with the other guests. It was quite a unique experience as we shared stories and some nice bottle of wines with people coming from different corners of the world : US, Australia, Ireland (and us from Romania). For breakfast you get basic stuff (cheese, ham, eggs) but also some olives and olive oil made by the hosts from their own olive orchard and some really good cakes made by Elisabeta. All in all the hosts just make you feel very welcomed and give you the sense of relaxation during the whole stay. We would definitely recommend this location and would like to came back another time.

The only little ''downside'' is the access road to the location. Is it not long, about 1 km from the main road, but very narrow and if you have a big car is gets sometimes tricky on the steep curves. Luckily the road is not busy and not many cars are at the same time. Anyway once you get to the destination you will forget all about the road :)

La Fontaccia was our favorite stay in Italy. We really felt like we were visiting friends with how warm and welcoming they were. The meals were amazing, the views were spectacular, and Samuel offered so much great information on places to visit. Samuel made our experience even better by arranging a once in a lifetime cooking class and a visit to a small, family owned winery (which was exceptional). Our time there was so relaxing and we hope to be back someday!

Everything was perfect, Samuel and his family were always ready to help, the breakfast was perfect, varied and with gluten free and lactose free options.The family recommended places to diner excellent quality/price The rooms comfortable and clean, end the day with a wine and the Tuscan landscape beautiful

Can't recommend Agriturismo La Fontaccia enough. This was simply perfect. It felt like we were visiting tuscan friends that really know how to have people over! The location is beautiful, well managed and very clean. Food prepared from local products is incredible. Owners Samuele and Elisabetta are absolute amazing hosts. We will definitely go back!

Nothing wrong at all, but note that there are some steps to bring the luggage to the room. So just a friendly warning to older travellers with walking issues. Although the owner (Sam) would probably just be happy to help with it.

Location is perfect and scenery peaceful and stunning Samuele the owner is a man of many talents, is very knowledgeable, entertaining, helpful, took us into the village, introduced us to the locals, and went to a local vineyard. We got to meet his beautiful family and learned about them.

Amazing concept! Great agriturismo with very friendly staff! Perfect breakfast, tasty dinner, good wine. They produce sensational olive oil! Quiet location, perfect for relaxing! The two dogs, the horse and the donkey are lovely🥰

The mountain location and views were fantastic. The spacious but cosy rooms were very comfortable. The hosts (Sam and Betta) were very friendly and the cooking was great. "Simple" and delicious home cooked meals accompanied with a good wine selection. We felt at home from the very beginning. Wonderful 4 days stay!
