Briar Barn Inn

Hidden Gem! So happy we were able to book a room through Expedia when the Briar Barn Inn showed no availability. The property was booked for a Wedding; grateful they kept a room open for you. We LOVE this hotel.

The Briar Barn Inn is a hidden gem. The staff and manager were so friendly and hospitable. The rooms are cozy and the decor in the inn is very unique. The continental breakfast was so fresh and yummy. Home baked pastries from The Grove. ( Onsite restaurant)

The Briar Barn Inn is lovely.....so glad we stayed here! It's clean, quiet and the staff is wonderful. Hope we can come back again soon!

It’s right outside of Newburyport and that’s why we love it. Quick drive into Newburyport for shopping and other activities. Quick drive into Portsmouth NH too,, we have gone to Salem and Ipswich also. We love the Briar Barn Inn.

For one night girls night in we had a blast! Loved playing board games and lounging in our robes. So peaceful and a great getaway

This was a dream come true. I booked a quick trip with my sister and mom to this perfect Inn. We've never been away together. Briar Barn Inn embodied the Holiday Spirit throughout its entire building. No matter where you walked you encountered elegance! We were happily excited as we walked about to find ALL the gorgeous trees! The beautiful decorations were strategically placed throughout and made us feel like we were in a Hallmark Movie! The bathrobes and slippers were a hit! The pillows were so comfortable that we ordered some online! The food at the Grove is top notch as always. It is never a disappointment. But the top notch #1 asset of the Inn is the staff! Jordan and her team took care of us as if we were the VIPs from some kingdom! They all made us feel so special and cared for. They gave us everything we needed and more! :) Our mother was 90s-year-old and in a wheelchair and used oxygen. She was treated like a queen by everyone. We can't wait to go back.

Had the worst stay here. We were so excited to get a night away from our two kids and catch up on some sleep, but it ended up being such a waste of money and we got no sleep. When we booked before the new year there was nothing on their website stating there would be a private event at the restaurant. When we realized there was an event it was too late to cancel our stay, so our plan to eat on site was out. We were bummed, but got over it. At check in they couldn’t find our reservation for 5 mins, which was nerve wracking. Then they put our room the door closest to the lobby, which was SO loud after guests came back from the wedding and at 7am there were people yelling in the lobby. I knew it would be a problem and asked for a different room at check in. They wouldn’t move our room and didn’t care to understand the reasons why we were so disappointed by all these poor accommodations. Someone from the wedding party would have been much suited in that room. They did nothing to try to improve our stay. My gosh even a cheap bottle of wine would’ve been a nice gesture to apologize, but they truly did not care. Unless you have to stay here for a wedding save yourself the disappointment and stay somewhere like the Wentworth where they have amazing customer service and the rooms aren’t paper thin.

Very nice place for couples, romantic. The hotel is nice area, clean. I just wished check out was a later time to enjoy even more. Overall a great place to stay.
