Similan Hotel

Simply awesome!!! Such a nice host. They opened even earlier for us and made our stay as comfortable as heaven. The host couple even made us breakfast when we had to leave earlier. Always helpful, nice and lovely. Not to mention they even lend us their own private bycicles to take a look around! Highly recommend!!!

Absolutly nothing!

The owners are friendly and always helpfull.thay made breakfast for us every day. Room is clean,hot water in bathroom,air condition and fan.not noisy area.just 10 min walk to the beach,best restaurant around.you can rent scooter.would definitely come back.

Wonderful holiday with my friends. Very nice and helpful owner and large rooms, very clean and good equipped, the AC worked well. Very good breakfast and great restaurant nearby. Possibility to rent the motorbike. Zdenek

Great couple with whom we are friends now! The cafetería was closed already but Pascale the owner and her husband made an effort to present to us the best breakfast ever! They gave us tips and the best way to visit Pang Ga. We ended up going out with them and asking Pascale to drive us back to the airport. She knows where to eat the best Paid Thai and the best real Masseuses ( not like in the beach where they may cause you pain in the neck !). Will come back definitively and miss them

I do try and be fair with reviews but I have to give this bed and breakfast two stars (and thats being generous) . Myself and my girlfriend were made to fee very unwelcome from the start and the French owner is often quite rude. This owner should not be in the hospitality business, and we felt like we were quite an inconvenience to her and her husband I appreciated the air con should be turned off when leaving the hotel but whenever we stepped out of the bedroom for a few minutes and she went in unannounced like a ninja and turned off the air con. The air con didn't work properly anyway. Good size room but very basic and old. Worst of all was that bed and pillows were rock hard and didn't sleep well at all. The lady that owns the hotel is quite a smoker and the b&b does smell as do the musty rooms. The breakfast was small and not very nice plus it is expensive for what you get. The hotel is 30 min walk to the beach and you do need a scooter to explore the area which is great and would highly recommend visiting Bangtao beach and all the beach clubs. The B&B is expensive for what you get and for only a bit more you can have a choice of hotels nearby with pools, a no doubt a much more welcoming host.

Excellent guesthouse. Very large rooms, very clean and well equipped, the AC worked very well. The owners are very friendly and have excellent advice and recommendations. They make you feel like friends or a family member, even my 14 months old baby girl enjoyed their company. Not too far from the beach and the village (for restaurants, bars, massage, tuk tuk, taxis, shopping, etc) we usually like to walk during the holidays. Excellent Breakfast. We've booked 2 nights then we decided to extend. Thank you so much to Pascale and SY for your welcome. We recommend this place and will definitely go again.

Firstly the property is not as advertised. It is listed as being a 8 minute walk from the beach. This is not true. Apparently there used to be a cut through, but the land has now been bought by a developer and the cut through closed off. It's now at least 30 minutes walk to the beach, and that's not even to the main beach, it's to a small patch of sand where the tail boats launch from. The main beach, along with the main resort is another 15 minutes further away. So despite being advertised as 8 minutes walk from the beach it is more like 45 minutes from the actual resort beach. In addition the wifi in the 2 upstairs rooms does not work. The owner is aware of this and told us as much when we checked in, despite the rooms being advertised as including wifi. And as per previous reviews when you try to shower it pops the breaker and all the power goes off! Despite the property being misrepresented when we asked to check out early we were told we would have to pay for the full week. After some negotiation the owner did eventually agree to us paying one extra night to check out early. However after taking our money she then informed the booking agent that we had not checked in in an attempt to secure a "no-show" charge from them. Fortunately we were able to prove otherwise. Her actions were not a surprise to us as her attitude stunk from the moment of our arrival. At around 11:30 one evening after telling us we could pay at check-out she banged on our door demanding our passports back??? we refused as when we gave them to her at check-in we found them left on a table near the kitchen the next morning where anyone could have picked them up, and instead offered to pay the final bill. In fairness to her I'm pretty sure she was intoxicated on this occasion, which is probably why she forgot she had given us a receipt for the payment, which she later denied receiving.

Stayed here for a week and really liked it. Large rooms with good AC, good location on a small street with two restaurants. Near the beach. Very quiet. Couldn't shower when the aircon was on though, the power went out. Also we didn't get new handwash when finished, so we had to buy it ourselfes. Didn't get new toiletpaper when it was out sometimes either. Otherwise, nothing to complain about!

We were treated like old friends, owner Pascal & 'C' run a relaxed, super clean, low-key guesthouse 5 mins walk from 3 of the best beaches in Phuket. Funky, cool, family friendly, local restaurants, Frenchy breakfast on request - for a village life experience in Thailand I can't rave enough about this place 10/10!

Stayed in the Similan Hotel for 3 nights only at the end of the high season. A perfect location to relax and very friendly owner taking care of you as if you are a member of the family. The rooms are pretty spacious and simple and for the price you have no reason to complain. The food they cook is world class too.
