The Buckmaster is a beautifully appointed B& B. The hosts were inviting, professional, responsive, and respectful of our needs. The home made breakfasts were well presented and scrumptious. We were but one of many couples who gave encouraged Elizabeth to create a cookbook of her wonderful recipes. Richard is a local master craftsman whose work is on display throughout this beautiful historic home. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend The Buckmaster.
We stayed here for a quick ski getaway before New Years...I have been dreaming about a Vermont bed and breakfast vacation since I saw Diane Keaton's Baby Boom in the 80s...coming from Miami, this place was everything we hoped for and more! The décor is charming and impeccable - the owner has thought of every corner and detail to make this small but well-edited bnb a cozy delight. We enjoyed it all - the morning fire in the fireplace, the candle-lit breakfast, the fairylight holiday decorations, the pear, kiwi, and blueberry-studded fruit salad, the Nancy Meyers-style kitchen, and our affable hosts' relaxed but attentive manner...I could go on:) Thank you for making our short stay a delightful introduction to Vermont! PS: we stayed in the the smallest room, which actually has a large and well-heated bathroom, nice surprise! Okemo is about 27 mins away, a little drive but in beautiful scenery it's not a problem...we will be back!
