Gaurishankar Backpackers hostel

It was a lovely hostel, but they changed me from a lovely dorm to a boxed cubicle because I snore. The guy who was complaining was completely venomous when you considered he was wiping his butt and putting the paper in the bin. The whole dorm constantly stank tbh. They never said a word to him, but they discussed me between themselves in Hindi. I was not impressed.

The raw sewage in the dorm washroom's bin all the time.

You book a room for 4 abd they put you in a room for 6

Beautiful garden, and nice place to hang out.

My room was in the ground floor, right inside the garden. The Bar was playing music all day long until late in the evening as well and it was way too loud. I had trouble sleeping because of that. I booked a room with two simple beds and the room smelled moisture, the sheets were not clean, the bathroom not clean either. I found a huge cockroach in my bathroom, and there was no hot water. We had to ask several time until they switched on the boiler.

The garden outside is great to chill.

The bedroom was dark and humid. the shower takes ages to get warm water and I had to go to the reception to actually have hot shower. I found/killed a couple of cockroaches in the bedroom.

I loved the atmosphere in the hostel. The staff was very friendly, so welcoming :-) The location and the room were quite good as well.
