Gaurishankar Backpackers hostel

The location of the property is the only thing which was nice. Rest everything was bad.

The room I booked was different from what was offered, very less spacious. The sheets were stinky, the room was stinky. The laundry weight when dry was 4 kg and when wet was 6 kg. We asked them to charge on the basis of cloth weight, but they denied and also included the bag weight. In a very few things, the staff were a little supportive, but overall a very bad experience. Never booking and never recommending Gaurishankar Backpackers hostel to anyone.

Very atmospheric place. It is located not far from Lakeside. There is a nice and spacious courtyard where you can chat with travelers from different countries. Communication usually takes place until late evening, so it can be a little noisy. It is not critical for me. For backpackers and travelers, it is a great place.

Cheap

We booked a private room in the hostel, but the room was completely open so we could hear all sounds from anyone anywhere in the hostel and were not really able to sleep.

Ok for staying 1 or 2 nights , comfy beds , clean bathroom..

Its kind of a party hostel so if u r upto late night parties this is for you …but don’t book if you want to sleep peacefully…mainly the staffs they do party all night

It’s a really nice hostel, you just have to find a good time to take a hot shower, but they inform you about it. The location is pleasant, the stuff was also helpful, there is a room where you can do yoga or just chill.

People were partying to very late hours in the restaurant. After it was closed they just moved to the dorms and weren’t trying to be quiet, so after a few nights of being constantly woken up it gets annoying.
