The Vandees

The Vendees is in a quiet, rural location in a small village. It gave good access to County Down and Belfast. The breakfast was plentiful and there was a choice from continental items and cooked food, including an Ulster fry up and pancakes! Noreen and JP were very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of suggestions for places to visit. The room was lovely and the bed and sheets very comfortable. A guest sitting room is provided and homemade cake on arrival, which was very tasty!

The property far exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful, quiet and clean. The breakfast options were amazing. Noreen and JP were the perfect hosts. I will be back again.

Beautiful, contemporary, decorated with style and simply stunning. It’s the sort of bed and breakfast that you dream about. The best we have used in years of visiting Ireland.

How a B&B should be run, excellent hosts in Nori and JP, very helpful in suggesting sight seeing routes. Very good breakfast choices, comfy bed. We could not have asked for better hosts!

Close location to Tullymore Forrest and Belfast, but still away from the hustle, set in a lovely cottage garden. Noreen and JP are generous hosts, full of knowledge of the area and good company. The Irish breakfast is fabulous and the beds so comfy. The perfect mix for discovering an amazingly intriguing country.

I don't normally write reviews but I thought the Vandees was exceptional on so many levels. The owners have a wonderful creative touch - lots of interesting artwork on the walls and they got all the small touches right, including a glass of wine on returning from dinner. A lot of it is down to the fact that they're both naturally friendly people who enjoy hosting their guests.
