"An amazing place!!"

10.0

This was the perfect stay. We rented every until and brought tables and chairs and all ate together and gathered in the parking lot. Beds where conformable. Kitchens were great! Plenty of room. They have been remodeled nicely. My friends were a little nervous when I took them there but they all loved it. 15 min from Lava Hot Springs. The train goes through frequently but it was not big deal.

It was out in the middle of nowhere. Very clean rooms. Could not use laundry due to washers and dryers were full of linens. Not sure if I would stay again

"Caribou Gem"

This really is a gem. It’s about half of the price of the rooms and Lava. The room is in great condition. The floor could use a little TLC. I suggest mopping it after every guest leaves. It was a little dirty.

"Mostly Pleasant"

8.0

The floors were filthy. The beds are too tall, but firm. The kitchenette was nice especially with having the minimal needs for eating and cooking. That was awesome. The pictures online were misleading about the size of the bathroom and the room. the saving grace was having the new air conditioning unit. The outside was very misleading. I thought it was a derelict establishment until we were let in by the manager. Why would you not have an office on-site? The vending machine is empty and looked like it had been out of order for years. Next time I will remember to look up where the motel is so that I won't have to drive 30 min to find food.

"An oasis in the middle of Idaho farm country"

10.0

When it’s 4th of July and everything is sold out, you take your chances… best place of the three day holiday! While the exterior needs a broom and some love, everything else was spot on. Easy access through phone check in. Newly renovated, clean, and cool inside. Plenty of towels and nice amenities. And a full kitchen! AC was dead quiet. There is a freight train track across the street, so expect some whistles and track noise. Otherwise it’s dead quiet. No restaurants in town and the candy machine was nonfunctional. Closest food is 15 minutes in Soda Springs (complete with fake geyser) or Lava Hot Springs (with real hot springs). Yet, I loved the adventure and would stay again.

I'll be honest, when I arrived, I had 2nd thoughts of just getting out of there. The place was literally in the middle of nowhere, there was a railroad across the street, and initially thought it was just unsafe because to check-in, I had to call and there was no one onsite to give you you're keys. I got the keys by punching in codes to enter 1 door and then another code to get my keys in a secure box. But once I got in, I was pleasantly surprised in the cleanliness and ammenities. There was even a full on kitchen with plates/utensils. That was good as there was nothing near 30 miles to buy something to eat. Overall, I would go again if I was in the area.

It looks a little sketchy on the outside, and the nearby sun-worn, mostly-empty vending machine doesn't help matters, but inside this truly is a gem. We stayed for three nights. Wonderfully situated between Soda Springs and Lava Hot Springs, it was a quaint little spot. It was perfect for my wife and I and our 4 kids. Full size fridge/freeze, stove/oven, microwave oven, and coffee maker. Two smart TV's where we could easily enter our Netflix user info and access all of our content. Only complaint is the 4AM train horn nearby and the floor was dirty enough that our feet would get blackened from walking barefoot, but this was easily remedied with some baby wipes. Absolutely will stay here again for our next Lava Hot Springs trip!!!
