Alexandra Park House

John was very kind to allow self check in in the morning. House was warm and living room available. Handy to transport to sights. Self catering available.

Bathroom upstairs from our room. The kitchen had no tea towel and other people continually left washing up in sink unwashed. Things had to be left in drainer & therefore limited supplies of cups,plates etc. Room was very small & no access to backyard.

Quiet location near to supermarkets and bus lines into Centre or attractions. Washing machine and dryer great to have.

Slippery shower base. One bathroom for four rooms.

Shops and restaurants near. Not close from the city center as you can see on map, but decent and quiet location. Host easy to reach and reply fast. Self checking process simple and accurate described before. Beside the spiders that should be cleaned, nothing else on the downside.

2 downsides: when all the rooms are are full can be a little bit hard with the shared bathroom. What can be done it is to clean the spiders/spiders mesh from the window/lighting bulb in the room.

i was refunded £25 for not showing up-which isn’t bad considering some don’t give anything back if you don’t check in

Always a pleasant stay at Alexandra Park House.

Owners are responsive when contacted. Very clean and well looked after property. I value both very much as they are attributes not that easy to find in these kind of properties. 1 bathroom for potentially quite a few guests capacity. I was lucky I never forgot to lock the bathroom door or I would have had someone walking in while I was having a shower in two ocassions. (not sure if the water running is THAT quiet)
