Alexandra Park House

Lovely accommodation, very clean, great shower. We didn't spend much time in the room but when we did it was very comfortable and the other guests were friendly. Check in and out was very easy. The hosts responded to our one question quickly with no issues. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you 😊

Owner not on site so had to receive a code by text to get in to the property. I arrived a few hours early and owner wouldn’t let me in till the pre arranged time. Could not contact the owner to ask for an earlier check in time. Required internet to get the code to get in so had to go to a local supermarket to get internet. My mobile phone didn’t have internet at that stage. This is a problem with privately owned accommodation with owner not on site and self check in

Bathrooms were clean, but drains clogged easily.

The owner was not responsive, he did not answer my questions about the stay and ignored me even though I asked him repeatedly. I thought there was a reason he couldn't answer, but the answer was on a sticker inside the room, he was just being mean or lazy. It said that guests can use a washing machine after 3pm, but at 4pm the sheets and towels used in the hostel were in there and remained until next morning. Imagine how many germs can grow on towels left wet.

The room was clean and had towels, the headboard was a little loose and made noise when I moved in bed, the bed is comfortable. The kitchen was clean and organized. The shower was hot. The wifi is good.

Alexandra Park House was very clean and tidy. The shared shower room was clean, bright and very modern. The shower was great! It was good to share the kitchen facilities as we had brought a box of cereal for our breakfast; more convenient than going to McDonald's in the city centre! Convenient city centre bus route at the bottom of the street.

Our mattress was a bit 'boney' - the springs were very noticeable whilst sleeping on them - not very comfortable. A better quality mattress would have been better. The property would be better by having a second shared toilet - one toilet is not enough.
