Good location.

Quite noisy if the window open because next to the tunnel & no wifi.

It was clean

The location right next to a tunnel which amplified the sound of every car was awful , the door is metal and had no soundproofing, the balcony doors had an open vent that could not close so even more road noise. I would not recommend this property

1) Its proximity to the town center was very good with only a short walk. 2) The staff were very friendly and helped as much as they could. 3) It had a clothes washing machine. When you've been traveling for over three weeks, this is a great appliance to have.

1) There was no self check-in. We had to haul our luggage from the train station to their office, then haul it all the way back towards the train station to the accommodation in over 30 degree heat. Passed on the latter and waited for half an hour to get a taxi. Fortunately, the staff allowed us to leave the keys on the kitchen bench at checkout on request. 2) The accommodation is between a main road and the railway tracks, so it's noisy. 3) There is no air conditioning. 4) There weren't many power outlets. Lamps and fans had nothing to plug into. 5) It was extremely cramped. You had to walk sideways around the bed being careful not to bruise yourself on the sharp corners. 5) The shower is so small you'd get concussion if you sneezed. 6) There was a lot of dust on the sofa. 7) There was no WIFI included. You had to pay extra for this. Hot spotting is limited due to the weak signal.

Location is fantastic a beautiful view of lake Como and a 5 minute walk to vareena Property was exactly as advertised very comfortable it had everything we needed Francesca was wonderful to deal with 10/10 🤗

A new mattress would be great

Having read some reviews of Casa Paolo I wasn't 100 per cent sure about booking however we were aware it was compact and beside a road which can be noisy but fine during the night. We loved it! Its a 5 minute walk into Varenna, the beach is straight across the road, the view from the balcony was beautiful and we also had a large terrace with sun loungers and a table. The sun is on the terrace from before midday into the evening. The apartment was compact but well thought out and had everything we needed.

Couldn't find the office at first as they had their display in another shop window nearby but that shop was unattended. Glad we had a car as the apartment is a good walk from the office. The apartment is right on the road and adjoins a lovely swimmable beach. The view of Lago di Como is superb from the balcony and the apartment. The location is very good as it is only a short walk to the shops, the Varenna ferry and a little further for the village.

The apartment is small and the king sized bed has an external timber frame that protrudes into the minimal space and is easy to trip on. Being right on the road and at the entrance to a tunnel, it was noisy well into the evening when the traffic finally died down. Thankfully it was not too hot so we could close the doors on the balcony which were double glazed but as there is no air conditioning or even a fan, it would be unpleasant in warmer weather. The hot water was not very hot. The bathroom window and the glazed entry door are not double glazed so allowed the traffic noise in easily.

The view and location was amazing. Also across from beach and walking distance to Varenna

Check in process was terrible. Reception is 10 minutes from where the room was. It was only by chance that a neighbor allowed us to use their wifi and contact via whatsapp.
