Silkwood Estate

The location on the lake is quiet and peaceful and very serene. I had a wonderful lunch at the winery and the food and wines were excellent! I will miss the ducks swimming past every day.

There were no negatives.

We would highly recommend Silkwood Estate. The location overlooking the dam is perfect. The accommodation is very well appointed with everything you need. The layout of the chalet is excellent and very roomy. We had an excellent lunch at the restaurant. Very nice staff who were friendly and professional. The estate is extremely peaceful and picturesque.

There was nothing negative.

The location and the cleanliness

This was our 5th trip to this property. We have noticed that the accommodation level were getting lower and lower. Some of the lights were not working, salt and pepper were finish, no fishing equipment like before. I asked ti get the last chalet but instead I got the first one. Seemed that they dont care about our request at all. I hope they will compensate us

Peaceful and pretty location in the winery facing the lake. Loved hearing and seeing the ducks, wrens and frogs. The chalet design is stylish inside. Great walking to the winery for designer lunch

Some minor maintenance needed in the chalet (some lights not working) but it’s readily flexible.

Really nice facility with high-end fit out. Excellent location and outlook.

It's gone down hill since our last stay about two years ago. The thing that stood out was cleanliness - it could really do with a good thorough clean - it seems that they do the bare minimum between guests. Dusty inside and outside on the balcony. Glass windows and balustrades look like they have not been cleaned in a while. Cob webs on some of the windows inside. Outside looks like it could do with a good clean. Bin drawer in kitchen needs repair. Fry pan needs to be replaced - non-stick coming off and really needed to be washed before we used it. Dishes were not properly cleaned thin film of grease on them. We needed to wash the dishes before we used them. We really loved this property the last time we stayed, so it was sad to see it deteriorated to its current state.
