The Murdha Villa

Only thing good was the WIFI! And another good thing was that we booked this place only for 2 nights. Thank goodness we did not have to suffer for more nights staying in this horrid place!

No 24-hour front desk as mentioned in the booking! - False Information! The upstairs bedroom was full of mosquitoes and insects which were biting all of us. We 4 had to sleep in the bottom bedroom. Bathroom did not have hand soap. Bathtub was very dirty! Floors were dirty! Cups in the kitchen so dirty! Not cleaned before keeping back A dirty cup from the previous stay was kept in the microwave with milk inside which was smelling so bad when removed. I had to clean it myself to avoid the children from gagging from the smell. Downstairs bedroom lamp switch broken. Very low lighting in the bedroom! Towels were very smelly! All utensils in the kitchen were so dirty and stained. Not washed before keeping it inside! I think the staff were in a big hurry to get the room cleaned as the previous occupants checked out very late! Not kid-friendly! Pool is too deep for kids to play in! No street lamps on the approach to the villa. Not very safe to be walking around with family if coming back to the villa late at night! A/C not cooling. Vents very dirty! Bathroom pot was not flushing after using. I had requested Mahindra for a late check out by 1pm. He mentioned that it was ok but just to call him earlier on that day! I tried calling him and messaging him, but he did not respond even after seeing the messages. The other cleaning staff is messaging me at 12.48 asking for 150K more money for the late check out! Completely unacceptable! I am back home now & the itching from the insect bites have not yet stopped! Picture attached! Extremely disappointed with the stay! This is my first time that I am giving a 1-star review on booking.com!

Plenty of room to relax after a long day of sight-seeing, private pool was amazing.

There are a stretch of cafes nearby the hotel, and a spa place nearby too. Hosts were very friendly, even helped us to arranged a tour package on short notice. The pool is great but perhaps a little deep for children. There's a tub in the master bedroom that is huge but appreciate if they could place a rubber mat in the tub because kids might slip inside. There were ants all around, so make sure to keep your food enclosed properly. But I think ants is quite a common issue as I have stayed in a few different villas and it would always attract ants. Overall a very good experience!
