Sonder at 1500 Canal

The property itself and the room were great. It has a full kitchen. The bathroom is nice and all the floors are marble tile floors. The shower is nice and roomy. We had minor WiFi issues and it was corrected. It is in the middle of Canal so you are close to everything. Less than a mile from Bourbon and less than a mile from the Superdome. The bad though…right next to an emergency room. We heard a lot of sirens. The only tv is in the living room and none in bedroom. Also no cable just chrome cast. We watched a movie on our computer in the bedroom but watching it on a TV would have been better. I watched tv on my phone because of no cable. It was very inconvenient. No control of anyone outside of the hotel. There were people always right in the door hanging around and also weed being smoked right outside the door. It was inconvenient at times to get in and out. Parking is awful! You can pay way too much a night for valet parking or you have to find a random lot near by. The cheapest lot is across the street on canal meaning you have to unload your car and walk across Canal to get to your room with all of your suitcases or whatever you have. Parking there is a lot less a night but you must pay at the kiosk. The QR code tried to make you pay a lot more a night. Save your money. The good by far outweighs the bad. There are a lot of bads but they are minor. The room and location make up for the bads. I’m sure the parking issue would be most hotels in that area.

I liked how smooth and easy everything was. Also the staff was very friendly, helpful and quick to reply to any questions I had.

Broken furniture. Only one set of towels. Doble queen room AC didnt work. King bed was broken

The address listed is wrong. Only managed to find it after we walked into a different hotel to ask for directions and realized that it’s located in the same building as the other hotel. Room was nice and clean. Spacious, good air conditioning. The kitchen came stocked with cooking utensils. The coffee was gross. The bathroom and bedroom were nice but the pull out bed in the couch was awful. The tv and WiFi also didn’t work. Overall, it was good but it could definitely use improvements.

Location is good Room slightly beat up with stains on rug in living room Room was huge and overall comfortable

Lacks basic amenities, beds horribly uncomfortable, no mirror in bedroom Or a full length mirror in the unit. No TV in room, couch was uncomfortable, we had to ask For towels and bedding, no staff onsite made it even more difficult. Room was loud and echoed due to no rugs or even basic wall hanging. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
