Headlands is a luxury resort that has excellent facilities and great rooms with fantastic views. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom truly luxurious. The amenities include beach wraps as well as robes and other beach gear. The restaurant has great food and service — but on our second night the kitchen fell way behind leaving us a long wait for our dinners. Everything else was phenomenal and made up for this one glitch.

"Would stay again off-season"

8.0

Overall great stay during a busy extended summer weekend. Pros: spacious room, fantastic views, soft sheets, whale watching and sunsets from your balcony, friendly staff, AC, fireplace, comfortable robes, fun adventures, nice spa, sound proof windows. Restaurant on site is nice because limited options in town. Cons: Dory boat horns all day so you can’t leave your balcony open, you can hear people walking in hallways, doors slamming and things like luggage being dropped below you. You can’t hear tvs or talking next to you but we were awoken and different times by the room shaking. If you are motion sensitive, beware and we were on the top floor. Restaurant prices are a bit high with a limited menu, but food is high-quality.

"A Memorable Stay with Room for Improvement"

8.0

We recently stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and while the resort offers lovely amenities, the experience didn’t quite match the expectations of a true five-star property, especially at its price point. When booking, I noted our anniversary and added a campfire bundle, requesting it be delivered to our room on the first night. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The room itself had thoughtful touches—like the binoculars—but also some design challenges. The tub was placed too close to the bed, making splashing inevitable, and there was limited space for clothing and luggage storage. We also noticed some service gaps: the ice maker on the third floor wasn’t working, and the pantry fridge remained unstocked with water bottles throughout our four-day stay. For our anniversary dinner, we dined at Meridian. While the staff noted our celebration, there was no gesture to mark the occasion—no complimentary dessert or glass of wine, which would have added a special touch. That said, the food was exceptional and one of the highlights of our visit. The most frustrating part was the lack of transparency in the billing process. There was no clear way to reconcile final charges with the room rates quoted at booking. Overall, we appreciated many aspects of our stay, but a few thoughtful improvements could truly elevate the guest experience.

"Beautiful hotel...bad service"

6.0

Beautiful hotel, excellent location, really nice room. Terrible service in the restaurant and with housekeeping. Go for the views and the beautiful scenery, not for the service. Was expecting a higher level of service given the prices. Typical Oregon Coast hotel/restaurant.

This is a great hotel. The location is unbeatable. The room was large, stylish and very well equipped...and the views were fabulous (especially from the terrace). The restaurant is very good. The "adventure center" had some good advice and recommendations for hikes. We didn't use some of the athletic equipment (gym, bicycles, etc) but this is also a big plus.

The service in the restaurant was slow. Good food, but slow service.

"Great beach access and accessibility"

10.0

From each room, the view of Haystack Rock, Cape Kiwanda, and the Dory Boat beach can’t be beat. The accessible room for our daughter and partner were perfect, and our King bed room was the same. The food at Meridian is top shelf, and all the staff were professional, helpful, and friendly. The beach walks are peaceful, and there are some great hiking trails up the dune and out to Cape Kiwanda.

"Loved Headlands Resort "

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend and return. The 4th of July fireworks on the beach by the residents of Pacific City were fantastic!!!
