We visited in December and the place was aglow with Christmas lights. It's 100% lodge with all the wood, animal decor, fireplaces, out door ice rink and rustic charm. The staff was great and explained the activities that are on site. Wonderful food at the restaurant!
Overall it was a nice stay. The property is beautiful. Our cabin had a few issues, tub leaked and sink was stopped up. I would also prefer a gas starter for the fireplace. I like wood burning fireplaces but we were never able to get the fire to catch. For the price a gas starter would be good. It was relaxing. Most of the food was good. I thought some of the activities were over priced. A discount for people staying at the resort would have been nice. More things for toddlers to do, maybe an indoor playground? We will definitely go back when our kids are older.
