Hyatt Place Greensboro Downtown

Excellent stay, provided all that I needed and were very helpful to all our needs. Very grateful that the charged parking was waived.

I liked the view and the accommodations were spacious.

The beds were soft but stiff. My back was not taking to it. The bathroom smelled a bit.

The room was comfortable and roomy.

The last time we stayed there, the breakfast was much better. And I don't remember having to pay to park, but I could have forgotten.

The location was great for my visit and it was very clean. They can add some extra cable channels, other than that the stay was good.

When I arrived, the comforter on the bed had dried blood on it. Housekeeping did come to replace it, and the staff member took photos of the blanket to show her department, which confirmed this was not a fresh stain and clearly had not been cleaned properly. However, there was no meaningful apology or acknowledgement of how serious this issue was. Additionally, my room was directly in front of an active construction site. Had I known this in advance, I would not have booked this hotel. Construction noise began before daylight and made it extremely difficult—if not impossible—to sleep. To make matters worse, I was charged for an extra day due to a late arrival, which was classified as a no-show. While I understand that arriving late was my responsibility, the hotel was nearly empty, something the front desk clerk even mentioned to me. Given the circumstances, this felt unnecessary and disappointing. Overall, the cleanliness issue, lack of transparency about construction, and inflexible billing left me with a very poor experience.

Breakfast

AFTER I LEFT I WAS CALLED BY THE HOTEL STAFF AND ACCUSED AND CHARGED $250 FOR A BROKEN BATHROOM SINK THAT DID NOT HAPPEN DURING MY STAY . I WROTE A GRIEVANCE AND SENT AN EMAIL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID THEY WOULD GET BACK WITH ME, HOWEVER I AM STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE IN MY FAVOR BECAUSE THE ROOM WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION WHEN I LEFT!!! UNTIL THEN I HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT YOUR HOTEL. NOW I'M HEARTBROKEN AND MY POCKETBOOK IS BROKEN 😭. I WAS NOT TREATED WELL BY YOUR STAFF!!! AFTER I HAD REACHED HOME, 2 HOURS AWAY, I RETURN THE SAME DAY TO SEE THE DAMAGE THAT WAS SAID TO HAVE HAPPENED TO FIND THE SINK WAS SHATTERED BY MAINTENANCE AND A NEW ONE WAS BEING REPLACED. WHEN I ASKED FOR PICTURES I WAS TOLD I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT DAY TO BE CONTACTED BY THE SUPRRVISOR, HOWEVER DOING THE PHONE CALL I WAS TOLD THAT PICTURES WERE AVAILABLE. I HAVE BEEN TRAVELING FOR 45 YEARS AND NEVER HAVE I BEEN TREATED AS SUCH. THIS INCIDENT HAS BECOME A LEGAL MATTER!

the cleanliness

i did not like having to pay to park at the hotel... that im already paying a couple hundred dollars for. to charge your guest an additional $12 A NIGHT just to park at the hotel they booked is crazy. it feels like a rip off i wish the bar & bar food was open later

The staff were great! Very friendly, welcoming and responsive to our needs. The room was clean and had all we needed. It was nice to have the breakfast included and very attentive staff ensuring the food remained stocked. It was a full hotel, but we never had to wait on anything. The parking felt self and had good lighting.

This was minor, the main hallways to the rooms were nice, but probably needed some updating. It didnt impact my stay, but was slightly noticeable.

I am always looking forward to a good stay at Hyatt and this location is great for location, style and a quality stay.

Just fot for the record; I'm not cheap but thrifty!🤣😎
