This place have soul. Don't expect a comfy, condo-like stay, but for those who can appreciate the antique villa with all the antique furniture it will be amazing place. Also the staff is very nice.

This is a heritage house and not a hotel. You get to sleep in a room furnished with antiques, each piece selected by the owner. So yes, the bathroom could be upgraded, but remember, this is an 1857 building and it was 80% destroyed after the 2006 earthquake. We were just grateful we were able to stay there. The room is air-conditioned and has a private bathroom. Breakfast of any meal or snack is available at the cafe. Free parking is possible on site, although the staff may need to move your car to make way to other vehicles. You can walk to very nice restaurants for dinner. The street is busy and noisy, but the bedrooms are in the back of the building, so very quiet.

My second visit and I will return again. The staff and service were outstanding making me and my family feel truly welcome. Beautiful hotel with the ambiance of old Java creates a warm, cultural experience. The hotel's location in the old city is ideal for anyone looking to explore the area on foot. The breakfast was delicious with a choice of Western and Indonesian dishes. Highly recommended!

The overall setting is really unique, and makes this hotel different than others. The staff was super helpful and willing to accommodate to my needs, they were very welcoming as well.

The bathroom might could use some renovation, as it was compared to the room a little less nice, but still very clean and providing soap and other amenities.

Spacious and delicate room, just as living in an antique! The hotel is a museum which full of exotic atmosphere. Since it's an old house, can't ask too much about soundproof which means you can hear the prayer and the rooster crow in the very early morning. May be a problem to a light sleeper but not bother me at all. Friendly staff, delicious and abundant breakfast. Good value for money.

Beautiful heritage hotel with interesting area to relax in. The staff were incredible and the cafe had delicious food. The local area was very interesting to walk around. Well worth a visit.
