Gorgeous building full of history recommended for those who wish to learn javanese culture. Will be back again for sure.

Great heritage hotel with beautiful antique furniture and Chinese beds.

Very limited services. They closed the restaurant at 8pm whilst we were still showering and because the hotel is in a bit of a run down area, nothing else was open. We had to eat instant Pot Noodles in our room 😩

Everything. It was a magical step back in time, a historical landmark with beautiful antique furniture and antiquities everywhere. We felt very very lucky to stay there. Gorgeous four poster comfy bed. Delightful staff and excellent food. Would absolutely love to stay here again. Lovely artisan gallery with ceramics and batik collection as well as a contemporary art gallery attached.

It is a little far from the main city area and was hard to get transport - but no problem if you just get a scooter or organise taxis. It is very quiet compared to the city hotels. It is near a mosque like all the hotels in Jogja, so bring some earplugs for the early morning prayers
