Funny Monkeys Homestay

As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and well taken cared of. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful. Linh the reception helped me with my rides, tour organising and answered every question I had even on her day off through WhatsApp. The room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and AC was great. The view from the restaurant and the shared terrace is fantastic looking at the river and limestone mountains. Location is close to many riverside restaurants and less than 10 minutes walk to the Phong Nha cave boat station.

Nothing major. There is a church beside the building so you can hear the chanting and the bells. There's no elevator but staff handled my heavy luggage to my room. So no problem for me.

Le personnel était très bien avec une communication facile. La vie de la terrasse est superbe.

La climatisation de la chambre était vraiment insuffisante et nous avons très mal dormi. L’évacuation de l’eau de la douche était bouchée, limitant très fortement le temps sous la douche. Le pompon a été le réveil à 4h50 du mat par l’église mitoyenne qui diffuse des sons de cloches avec d’énorme haut parleurs, suivit d’une messe d’une demie heure avec un volume extrême. Impossible de dormir dans ces conditions, nous avons changé d’hôtel pour la seconde nuit à Phong Nha. Dans le second hôtel, à 1km du Funny Monkey, nous avons encore entendu les cloches en questions, mais dans un son plus diffu…

Die Kommunikation schon vor Anreise und auch vor Ort war sehr gut. Schöne Aussicht auf dem Fluss und die Berge. Der Balkon ist sehr schön, allerdings ist es ein Gemeinschaftsbalkon, den sich drei Zimmer teilen. Man kann kostenlos Fahrräder ausleihen, sie waren in einem mittelguten Zustand. Die Unterkunft hilft unkompliziert bei der Organisation eines Rollers. Die An- und Abreise per Bus kann problemlos über die Unterkunft organisiert werden. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes und empfehlenswertes Homestay

Der Gemeinschaftsbalkon wurde nicht täglich gereinigt, Mülleimer und Aschenbecher waren am ersten Tag übervoll. Das Essen im Restaurant hat uns nicht überzeugt, weshalb wir nur einmal dort essen waren. Lt. Beschreibung sollte es vor Ort Kayaks zu leihen geben, die gibt es aber nicht mehr. Es gibt nur SUPs, die man wegen der Touristenboot nicht tagsüber sondern erst nach 16:00 Uhr nutzen darf.
