La Locanda

great location and very helpful host

Only one of the four beds had sheets on them so I had to use a towel as a sheet

staying at La Locanda has an excellent location, it is right in the center of Marsala. it is very spacious, the living room is large with a kitchenette, dining table, fridge and 2 beds for family or friends. the bedroom has a double bed and an extra bed. the bathroom has a toilet and is sufficient. the accommodation is clean and really spacious. we were here in April, the apartment was cooler, which must be nice in the high season. the water boiler is noisy, but you can get used to that too. it is quiet and peaceful at night. maybe there could be a dish towel, but otherwise we didn't miss anything. parking in the full center is for residents only, but you can park within a 5-minute walk of La Locanda. in the center there are a number of one-way streets, which I know from home, this is an understandable problem of old cities. the owner arrived on time as agreed and was pleasant. the price was decent and we were fine

Located in the city center

Feels like sleeping in someone's garage or wine cellar, huge open space, in the whole "apartment" there is only one little window with the view of the wall. Owner was not particularly polite neither, even though on the booking it says that check in is possible until midnight, he didn't allowed us to came after 8 pm and put a huge time pressure on us. Eventually he even asked us to came to his town (not Marsala) to pick up the keys ourselves, which we did in a timeframe he requested but we found it very unprofessional. As it was the priciest place we stayed at in Sicily and the worst one it definitely is not worth the money, look further there are better options.
