Quiet, close to downtown

Location convenient to town, groceries and highway access. Very quiet and ample parking.

We checked in using the contact-less method - a bit confusing but in the end, all was well. Policy of when parking there, need to use garage next to your cottage or else towing consequence was a bit bothersome since we had a large truck and COULDN'T park in the garage + if we managed, with my and his handicaps we'd have a lot of problems getting in and out of the truck inside garage. We stuck a note on our windshield explaining why we were parked in visitors part instead of in the garage, and no one attempted to tow us. The room very clean, nice, easy to use shades, good lighting, kitchen furnishings nice, lovely shower with RAIN SHOWER HEAD & easy to use shower handle to turn on and adjust the hotness, bed very comfortable, nice tile bathroom floors and appeared to be rescued wood floors painted a nice sea-foam color, except one board near the kitchen was squeaky and a bit loose when walking on it and I tripped a few times as it came slightly above rest of the floor. Nice outdoor area with grass and picnic tables and adirondak chairs, and BBQ. Nicely quite close to old downtown Nevada City.

The board on the floor being a bit loose so as to stick up higher than rest and trip-able should be repaired. Could be problematic if vehicle you are driving doesn't fit parking in the attached cottage garage. A bit confusing using contact-free method of checking in - trying to get into the box with the key by entering a code emailed to us.

Shower did not worked, the new tap was broken. The staff instead of fixing wanted to teach me how to use a malfunctioning shower in the next morning!

Super cute as you enter the parking lot. We got a one bedroom cottage with a patio / kitchen, but I feel any room you get will be cute. It seems to be going under renovations (for good reasons). Everything was clean and comfortable. I like how they provide tea / coffee / coffee maker / microwave / and small fridge. They may be adding a little kitchenette. Nice aesthetic / ambiance. I felt like I was in camp (that I have never experienced in life) so that was a nice thing to feel. I also felt like I was in a hallmark movie or a story in the a Laurie Gilmore book. It was quiet, comfortable, safe, surrounded by trees and a quiet neighborhood…. Check in and check out was super easy and convenient. Wished I stayed longer, but I will be back someday. It’s close to town in Nevada City like a 5 min drive or walk may be 15 mins or so.

Stayed once before, 7 years ago. Liked it and came back for more. A pleasant location, approx. .75 of a mile from central Nevada City. Comfortable 60's auto court cottages. Quiet, clean, with easy check in, without an employee. Ample instructions insured easy check-in. Unit was clean with functioning devices (I.E. fridge, microwave, television and remote, coffee maker and lighting. Only coplaints are toilet seat needed tightening, and no running water in kitchen. Signs alleged a future kitchen improvement and additional bedroom. Overall, quite happy with accomodations and wiuld stay again.

Cute place, quiet. Great beautiful walk to downtown.
