Tierra Maya Hotel Spa & Sanctuary

One of the new boutique hotels in the center of Bacalar. Good location 2 blocks from the Laguna and nice restaurants like the Playita, also 5 mn from the main city square However, the nice room pictures tend to give a false impression. The hotels is just a few rooms along a corridor, around a garden. The rooms themselves are nice and the pictures are accurate, so not misleading, but overall the hotel is nowhere near a luxury boutique hotel with spa. The rooms are directly on the street, so you get to hear cars passing by, so no Sanctuary here I paid around 100 USD for one night, for this price there are other places in Bacalar which are better value for money, especially if they have direct access to the laguna Also beware Google Maps indicates the hotel as being on Calle 16, whereas it is located on Calle 26

Pequeño hotel en desarrollo que se va a perfeccionar ya que apenas abrieron. El personal está muy disponible y agradable solo que por el check-in no hubo nadie durante 20 minutos (tuve que marcar al número para que alguien llegue). Lo unció negativo es que las habitaciones están sobre la calle en planta baja así que se escucha mucho el ruido cuandon pasan los coches y la gente hablando. La alberca es un plus, solo que no tiene mucho sol por la tarde así que el agua queda bien fría. Y después de las 3 ya no hay sol en los camastros. El desayuno estaba propuesto en un restaurante cerca, estaba rico aún limitado sobre los jugos incluidos. La limpiada está ok solo el según día no reemplazaron las pequeñas toallas (las quitaron pero no pusieron nuevas). En fin es un bonito hotel que seguramente se va a mejorar para estar perfecto.
