The Chequers Inn

The location was fine for the research I was undertaking. Breakfast options were extensive and I had more than enough to eat.

The first night was very noisy, much better on the second. The room was adequate for one, but would have been tight for two. It was clean and well appointed Very small wash basin.

Cute, cozy room with a nice view of the countryside. Easy parking lot out back. Had dinner while we were there, which was excellent. Would recommend and stay again.

The breakfast was excellent. Very friendly atmosphere at The Chequers.

My only comment is that the shower room in Room 2 was very tight.

Our room was a lot smaller than we expected with a very small bathroom. However the bed was comfortable and there were coffee/tea making facilities and toiletries supplied which was a nice touch.

What a lovely place! The food was excellent, a very good choice of drinks, the room was really comfortable and the location meant we were no more than a 30 minute drive to any other part of the island. What really sets this place apart, however, is the staff; very friendly and helpful, and we felt genuinely looked after during our entire stay. Thank you!

The 2 night stay was thoroughly enjoyable and we had an excellent Carvery meal on the Sunday evening and the breakfasts were great.

We will visit again but will book one of the bigger rooms next time although we were perfectly comfortable and well catered for in the room that we had.
